Q: What is the difference between PGDM and Global MBA?

A: Mile Institute offers both diploma and degree courses and are equally good in their respective domains. The only difference is that PGDM helps students learn and understand about domestic markets, whereas Global MBA gives students global exposure.

Apart from that, PGDM is more industry-specific and in tune with the industry requirement. It also helps students understand corporate interface, flexibility to choose from different specialisations and placement assistance.

As a part of the curriculum, students of Global MBA spend the second year studying in the UK.

Q: What is the admission process of Lexicon MILE Institute? And, what is the eligibility criteria?

A: The admission process is divided into three rounds — Skype introductory interview, case study and GDPI.

To be eligible for admissions in PGDM, students must have a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent and for Global MBA, a minimum aggregate of 55 per cent is required in the graduation of any discipline from a recognised university. Applicants also need to have a valid score of at least one qualifying exam such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA and GMAT. The admission will be offered basis overall results and performance in interview round. 

Q: What makes MILE different from other B-schools?

A: Amongst a number of factors, that makes MILE unique and different from other institutes, the most important is 9-11 months of paid internship. The internship gives students experience of working with real life business problems and an understanding of practical aspects of business.

Average stipend that students earn is Rs 30,000 and most of the students are able to secure pre placements offers.

Other than this, the institute offers dual major specialisations in HR, Marketing and Finance with over 20 certifications attached to the institute curriculum.

Q: What are the other certifications offered with the course?

A: Certifications such as Goal Setting, Systems Thinking, E- Commerce, Entrepreneurship Development, Geopolitics, MS-Excel, Decision Science, Big Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Blockchain, Neuro Linguistic Program (NLP), Advance Excel, German Language, French Language, Business Analytics, Cross Culture Management, International Business, Lean Six Sigma, Business Models, Leadership, Corporate Etiquette and Psychometric Testing are offered along with specialisations.

Q: What is the total fee of the course? Does college offer any scholarships or loan assistance?

A: The total fee for a two-year PGDM course is Rs 8.15 lakh and Global MBA is Rs 13 lakh.

The college also offers scholarships to students based on their CAT results. Students who have scored between 60 and 70 percentile, Rs 75,000 is offered as scholarship and students who have scored more than 70 are offered scholarship of Rs 1 lakh.

Institute also has tie-up with five banks, PSUs and corporate houses for loans. Up to 100 per cent loan is offered based on credit scores.

Q: What are the placement trends of last year? 

A: MILE has a record of 100 per cent placements with highest package of 14 lakh per annum and average package of 6.5 lakh per annum. Top companies such as IBM, HSBC bank, Amazon, Harley Davidson, Accenture, and Axis Bank are few of the recruiters who frequently visit campus during the placement season.

Lexicon MILE offers admission to PGDM programme based on entrance exam scores of candidates. The institute accepts scores in CAT, MAT, CMAT, MH-CET, XAT, ATMA, etc. for admission. Selected aspirants also need to pass the group discussion and personal interview round for final selection.
