A: 

For the General HS category, the cutoff ranged from 4.33 to 20.54 percentile for M.Tech course specialisations. Therefore, students need to attain at least 4.33 percentile for admissions at COEP Pune. MHT CET M.Tech percentiles are required for admission to M.Tech courses at COEP, Pune.

Q:   Which college will I get with 97.5 percentile in MH CET?
A: 

With 97.5 percentile in MHT-CET, you have a strong chance to get admission in reputed colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, or Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, ECE, or Electrical. COEP and VJTI may be difficult for CSE. Government colleges like WCE Sangli, SGGS Nanded, and GCOE Amravati are also good options. You can get preferred branches in private colleges and core branches in government ones. Your chances further improve if you belong to a reserved category or have home university advantage within Maharashtra.

  • As per the MHT CET 2025 results, a score between 165 (Highest) and 149 was equivalent to the 100 - 99.99 percentile. A score of 136 was equivalent to the 99.88 percentile and a score of 113 was equivalent to the 98.07 percentile.
  • The MHT CET results in 2025 displayed that a score between 145 (Highest) - 136 was equivalent to the 99.99 percentile. Last year, the 99.87 percentile was equivalent to the MHT CET score of 122 whereas a score of 101 was equivalent to the 98.1 percentile.
  • In 2025, candidates having MHT CET scores between 165 (Highest) and 153 were awarded 99.99 percentile. The 99.87 percentile was equivalent to the MHT CET score of 134 whereas a score of 112 was equivalent to the 98.02 percentile.

Q:   Am I able to get admission in MH-CET college for B.Tech with 36 percentile?
A: 

No, it is generally not possible to get the admission to B.Tech programme with 36% through MH-CET. 

The minimum qualification marks for General Category are usually 45% and reseved categories, it is 40%.Though having only 36% cannot make the admission for the most of the colleges.

There are some colleges consider 12th grade marks as part of admission criteria with minimum percentage of typically ranging from 50% to 65%.

Q:   What is the MHT CET cutoff for admission to various courses?
A: 

The MHT CET 2025 marks qualifying cutoffs are 90 for the general category and 80 for the reservation category out of 200. Cutoffs for top engineering branches differ from college to college; for example, Computer Engineering at COEP Pune requires scores of perhaps 160+ marks, while Mechanical might require around 135 for the same college. Other top colleges could require around 170–180 marks for CSE, whereas branches like Electrical might require something closer to 160. These are only indicative scores, according to previous years' trends, and may vary a bit every year

Candidates who are aspiring for admission to top private/government colleges must have a rank below 40,000 in the entrance test. It is expected that the candidates with a percentile of 70 or above in the MHT CET 2026 will be awarded a rank of 40,000 or above. The candidates must note that the rank range may vary for MHT CET 2026.

The duration of the MHT CET 2026 exam is 180 minutes for both the PCM and PCB groups. The papers 1 and 3, Maths & Biology, are for 90 minutes each, while paper 2, for Physics and Chemistry, is 90 minutes taken together.
