Lexicon MILE Hosts Annual Leadership Conclave – The Lexicon Bharat Leadership Awards
December 23, 2020: The Lexicon Group of Institutes recently hosted the annual Lexicon Bharat Leadership Awards on December 12, 2020, to curate various perspectives across fields on our post-pandemic development.
The chief guest of the annual conclave was the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who also addressed the crowd to highlight the strength of our country and the hope for our nation's future. The awards were given by Hon. Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, in which leaders and officials were honoured for their services to politics, law and order, sports, culture and business.
The conclave addressed the importance of the resilience of our society in the war against the pandemic and the progress that we have seen in addressing numerous obstacles through society, business and governance.
Close coordination between both departments, police, and administrators during the time of the pandemic was the subject of the topic under discussion, and both panellists pointed out how the pandemic allowed them to push creativity and self-discover ways to respond to the difficult condition of the pandemic. The panel's business leaders were positive about the vast digital potential that the modern normal would bring, and all saw signs of normality and opportunity in their respective organisations.
Nasir Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer of the Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership & Excellence (MILE) said: "The panel's evaluation of adaptability and durability during the pandemic aligns with the management of the Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence, as it has also led us to innovate and channel energies into the future of students and their immediate needs.
The conclave addressed the value of adaptability and creativity through society and business as we work towards realigning the nation's development direction.
Lexicon MILE Hosts Series of Webinars on Career Scope in Post Covid-19 Era
July 8, 2020: LEXICON MILE - Management Institute For Leadership And Excellence hosted a series of webinars amid nationwide lockdown on various topics related to future career prospects, creating awareness about the current situation, how to turn the situation of lockdown into an opportunity, etc. Similarly, there was a webinar organised on June 16 on topic Career in the Entertainment Industry, which was facilitated by DJ Akhtar. In this webinar, he spoke about the vast career scope in various domains of the entertainment industry such as production, arranging music, the remix of music, etc. Quoting examples from his own journey, he answered students’ queries such as how they can make a career in the entertainment industry, what kind of obstacles they may face, the scope of the industry in post-Covid era, how they can enter into film marketing or how do DJs synchronise songs so beautifully.
Another webinar was organised on June 17 on the topic Turning Adversity to Advantage which was facilitated by Managing Director at Springer Nature Sanjiv Goswami. He talked about the kind of adversity we are facing today, and to make the best use of this time by learning new skills or practising hobby so we don’t lose our minds. He also educated students on how to adapt to this new normal and learn from the management and faculty members the art of being versatile. The lockdown was declared without any prior information and then reacting to the situation how easily the management moved the curriculum to the online platform. This is the quality that corporate expect out of students today, to be versatile and adaptive and also being able to take decisions in difficult times.
A webinar on the topic ‘Unravelling HR for you‘ was also organised on June 29 that aimed at making students familiar with the corporate world. The session was facilitated by Chief People Officer at Coviam Payal Singh. From the Human Resource perspective, she educated students of what is expected out of them. She also motivated them to stay focused and passionate about the job. There were a number of questions asked by students such as what are the skillsets required to be an HR, is it necessary to have some certification or degree in Psychology and with the outbreak of global pandemic or evolving digitalisation, how HR is going to be impacted?
Apart from these, many other webinars were organised and witnessed by both students and faculty.
Lexicon MILE to Conduct Webinars on June 25 & 26, Creating Awareness among Students
June 24, 2020: For the last few weeks, LEXICON MILE - Management Institute For Leadership And Excellence has been organising various webinars for students facilitated by prominent industry leaders to educate them about the future scope of their chosen career domain. The topics covered so far included Future Proof your Health, Hostel and Café Facilities; Education: Thriving and Connecting Industry 4.0; Innovation: The Base of Existence; and Career Possibilities in the Entertainment Industry Through your MBA, among others. Continuing with the series, Lexicon MILE will conduct two more seminars, one each on June 25 and 26.

February 21, 2020:Lexicon Mile Group hosted Business Connect event facilitating networking, communication, connections to students with inspiring men and women. Prominent speakers from various walks of life such as CEOs, trustees, managing directors, Army officers and experts were invited to attend the event. There were discussion around two topics, trends of Emerging India and what future leaders need to do to turn their adversities to their advantage.
The ROI of any management degree can be evaluated in terms of placements opportunities. Such Business Connect events facilitate platforms to students where they can explore various such job opportunities. Lexicon Mile lays institute lays strong emphasis on providing these types of opportunities throughout the year in the form of TEDx event, Golf Tournament, Winter Internships and many more. Events like these serve two primary purposes to students, enabling interaction and seek inspiration.February 21, 2020: The management of Lexicon Group of Institutes held its first-ever Golf Tournament. As an incredible chance for students to connect with business leaders of Pune, this tournament was a rare gathering of sportspeakers. The tournament was witnessed by active participation of over 100 players who took part to showcase their impeccable skills which require golf technology and focus on the mind and the body. This session was a learning opportunity for the Lexicon MILE graduates, who learned how executives are operating in social settings. All such initiatives are taken to help students become industry-ready. Apart from this there are several elements of the curriculum, such as internships, care-studies, excursions, seminars and professional interactions that make the students more adept in the professional settings after graduation.
Institute Hosts TEDx Talk
February 8, 2020: The institute LEXICON MILE - Management Institute For Leadership And Excellence hosted its first-ever TEDx event on campus. The theme of the event was ‘Believe in Yourself’. The institute invited prominent dignitaries from top companies such as Nasir Shaikh, General Manager of The Westin Hotel, Pune; Deepak Kanakaraju, aka DigitalDeepak, digital marketing consultant; Sunil Phulari, IPS Officer and SRPF Commandant; Onkar Kishan Khullar, Digital Gandhi; Vidhisha Baliyan, winner of Deaflympics 2019; and, Akanksha Sharma, founder of Citta Beauty. Neeraj Sharma, Executive Director of lexicon MILE believes such opportunities makes learning fun and effective. Education should not be bounded to classroom boundaries. Events like TEDxTalks encourage students to hear and learn from speakers with unparalleled views and lives.
