All the classes I have attended were very open to discussions and questions, says Anannya
I was always inclined towards Commerce and especially subjects like Business Studies, I feel like opting for this particular field will help me enhance my economical skills and create a positive impact with whatever I create. My family’s heavy inclination towards this stream was also one of the reasons. I look up to a lot of famous business tycoons such as Ratan Tata who are known for their exemplary business skills and philanthropist activities and want to create a future where my business aids society and the future. Apart from that, I am also very keen on learning how marketing tools can be used to positively influence people and hope to specialise in it for my further studies. Keeping everything in the account I knew that opting for this undergraduate BBA course at MET would enable me with essential skills and allow me to gain better exposure with its international base. It also gave me the opportunity to study in the UK and gain a better global standing. MET Institute of International Studies was also a known name and was ranked as one of the best B-schools in Mumbai which gave it a greater edge over other options.
The admission process for MET was relatively simple, I applied for this course through their online platform and was guided by their counselor’s throughout the process. My admission was based of my 12th HSC percentage and an interview conducted by the MET IIS Director. I was particularly looking out for a course that allows me to travel abroad for my last or second year and MET offered me the best possible course to do so
I haven’t been able to experience Mumbai Educational Trust as an offline student because of the pandemic but they have still managed to keep me engaged and connected as a student. Consumer behavior, Principles of marketing and communication for business have been some of my favorite subjects so far. All the classes I have attended were very open to discussions and questions. The professors are very communicative with the students. A lot of are assignments are research-oriented which allow us to better understand how organizations work real-time and stay updated with the new business activities. My dissertation writing, speaking and presenting skills have vastly improved since I joined this course. They also keep us engaged with multiple seminars and encourage us to learn new skills. The teachers try to make their classes interactive by adding digital media, presenting case studies and correlating the subject with our lives to better understand certain topics. They have also presented me opportunities of working with NGO’s such as Angel Express and extending my hand towards more charity work. The college also has extra-curricular activities like the MET Utsav which encourages students to present their talent and participate in gaming activities. The lectures are also flexible in nature and allow me to pay attention at multiple aspects of my life rather than just studies. Overall MET has helped me aid a lifestyle where I can be seen as a well-rounded student.
I am planning to work in a marketing-oriented field and pursue a similar master’s degree once I am done with my undergrad
