I believe that education is the best way to enlighten young minds and can be imparted in good environment, says Sameer

Cooking is my passion and I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in this field only. So after doing my matriculation from the CBSE board, I wanted to join a Hotel Management course. So, with the help of social media and other references, I got to know about Vedatya Institute that they are offering two courses in this field, one is the Programme in Hospitality Management and Leadership (PHML) and the other is a Programme in International Culinary Arts (PICA). I wanted to explore every department in this hospitality industry so I opted for PHML which is a three-year programme. By clearing two admission rounds, out of which one is a personal interview and the other is a written examination, I received my confirmation letter. I have also cleared the interviews of many other colleges but I chose Vedatya institute because of their applied learning concepts and also, I was attracted towards their farm to fork concept. The fee is also quite economical in comparison to other colleges offering hotel management courses. We were welcomed with warm greetings by our very professional, qualified and experienced professors.

Vedatya gave us the platform to showcase our talent and with the help of modern equipment and the experiences of our professors, we are learning new things every day. Our college possesses all the qualities of an ideal college. We have an excellent course curriculum and faculty members. I believe that education is the best way to enlighten young minds and it can only be imparted in a good environment having prosperous thinking. My college has all that it takes. Apart from academics, we are doing other stuff also whether it is a cultural activity or sports activity such as preparing welcome dance performance for the guest coming in our yearly event name CHAUPAL. Talking about sports, we have our hospitality cricket league (HCL) where we compete with our faculty team and other teams of different hotels. I have been an active participant in sports for retaining the cricket trophy from the last two semesters by our batch team, leading with the volleyball, badminton trophies. Being a professional dancer from my school time, Vedatya allowed me to do dance choreography for the college functions.

Apart from academics, we are also engaged in other activities whether it is a cultural activity or sports activity such as preparing a welcome dance performance for the guest coming to our yearly event name CHAUPAL.

The best part about Vedatya which I have seen in these two years that is each student gets personal attention from our module leaders. We are allowed to work in the hotel for one-day catering (ODC) in the very first semester. The internship opportunities are offered basis students’ interests whether they are willing to work in India or in an international hotel in countries like France, Dubai, Mauritius, Maldives. The professors are also helpful to show you the right path in your personal or professional life. The college has its playground and gymnasium. These facilities pave the way for the development of both mental and physical health of students. 

Vedatya placements records are also very good and they're also offering Indian or international placements. Students have also the option to pursue post-graduation course from the Metropolitan University, Manchester.

The target here is to impart excellent education and come out with bright careers so as the shape our future in the best possible manner.

For me, when you enter this college this family becomes your extended family because of the people around here. Mostly, we are engaged with our assignments, reflective,  presentation and activities which helps every student to improve their communication skills and build self-confidence. My journey of Vedatya institute is going great because of our supportive faculty. I feel proud that I am a student of this college, which is equipped with an adequate library and other facilities.
