After completing the Class 12 exams, I chose to pursue graduation in Economics because of my great interest in the subject. The three-year graduation journey helped me understand the economical and financial condition of the country in detail. But, after completing graduation, I felt the need to prepare myself for the corporate world, so I decided to pursue post graduation in management programme. After, a little bit of research, I got to know about the PGDM programme which is Post Graduate Diploma in Management. The two-year programme is more inclined towards the practical aspects of management applications than just the theoretical concepts. After deep diving in a little more, I got to know about the Pune-based institute Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence institute that offers PGDM programme. The most unique thing about the institute is the nine-month paid internship which prepares students for a great corporate career ahead.

But, after completing graduation, I felt the need to prepare myself for the corporate world, so I decided to pursue post graduation in management programme. After, a little bit of research, I got to know about the PGDM programme which is Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

To secure admission in this institute, one has to appear for any of the nationally accepted management qualifying exam that includes, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc. Basis the CAT results I was allowed to appear for further admission rounds that included the Group Discussion round, Personal Interview round and the Case Study round. The final selection of the student depends on the comprehensive scores in the qualifying exam, merit performance, and the student’s performance in the personal interview round. Though I did apply for some local MBA colleges in Kolkata, but because of the nine-month internship programme, I chose Lexicon MILE over others.

My journey in Lexicon MILE began during the Covid pandemic The classes were being conducted online between 9am to 6pm. Besides classes, the college did not let the other activities sacrifice such as public speaking, webinars and seminars. I like attending motivational classes facilitated by our faculty members and sometimes by eminent dignitaries who visit the campus.

Though I did apply for some local MBA colleges in Kolkata, but because of the nine-month internship programme, I chose Lexicon MILE over others.

I am an active participant in various social activities organised at the campus level such as Shark Tank presentation. I was also a speaker of Lexicon’s Mantra to success- Belief in Yourself. I am a member of Lexicon’s Social Media and marketing committee too. Besides this, I have participated in Rangoli competition.

The management and the faculty members have been quite supportive since the beginning. If given a chance, I would want to participate in sports or be a speaker in some event. Though it is just been a year so far in Lexicon MILE but I feel very very competitive, confident and self-motivated.

At present, my aim is to enhance my knowledge in Finance to be a valuable financial asset to the company.
