JIMS Kalkaji has an excellent amalgamation of curricular and non-curricular activities together, says Vanshika

I chose commerce as a stream because as a person with knee-deep interest in business analytics and management theories it fascinated me furthermore and learning the financial aspects just made it more interesting. As being just mere students we don’t have any silver of knowledge regarding any of these subjects which just made me more curious to know about them all. It is commonly seen that only Science provides subjects that are interesting and provide substance to curious minds but if we observe carefully all streams cater to equally curious brains and in my case, I was more curious about learning about commerce and how does it work. 

I am currently studying at JIMS Kalkaji - Jagannath International Management School, New Delhi.

Our Institute has an excellent reputation among all the colleges the IP University caters. It has excellent placement records with top companies. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approvers our Institute. It has an excellent amalgamation of curricular and non-curricular activities together. It has excellent faculty for my course BBA and it provides me all opportunities that I need to move ahead in my career. The people are friendly and helpful enough that helps me adjust more in the environment.

Entrance Exams gave me many sleepless nights it was a long but comparatively easy journey. As they say, everything goes smoothly with the right guidance and it did. I took entrance preparation classes from Edumentor.

It was a great feeling to be part of such a great institute. They provided me with the best guidance and knowledge that I required to go through the entrance procedure. They told me everything from universities like DU, IP, CHRIST, SYMBOISIS and others, they cleared my doubts about the form filling procedure and test formats.

The faculty there was amazing and well versed with their subjects and competent enough that they provided us with as much knowledge as we could require. I prepared myself for all subjects whether it was General knowledge, logical reasoning, verbal ability and of course personality development.

In my college I love to attend the classes like MPOB, Business economics, quiz, and presentations, etc.

I appeared for all possible entrances like DUJAT, SET, CET, IPMAT of different institutions like Indore, Rohtak, etc.

My experience since I joined JIMS Kalkaji has been a mixed one as it included fun, freedom, new classes, different societies and lovely mentors. The environment here at Jagannath International Management School is an amalgamation of curricular and non-curricular activities it includes our lectures and many personality development classes along with societies that provide both fun and learning experiences like Ace the placement society, Zaahir the dance society, Communication the debating society, Prayogshala the entrepreneurship cell and many more societies. They all provide us platforms to showcase our talents. I like to spend my time with my friends as we like to explore our college and its nearby surroundings. This has given us the opportunity to be more independent and rely on our self and relish freedom with responsibility. If I were given a chance I would surely like to open up a business with my peers and see what could we do with it and what failures do we come under and how we overcome it to as it will provide us with a whole new experience that would help us in future.

My college experience has surely evolved me as a person it has boosted my confidence and made me a more vocal person with my own thoughts to discover and put forward to. It has provided me a platform where I can network with people with different abilities and specialties. Overall my college experience has taught me that my opinions matter my knowledge is power and only bookish understandings will not help me in my future practical knowledge plays an important role in our lives and teaches us to deal with real-life problems and situations.
