Every year, our school, Army Public School used to conduct aptitude test in Class 10th to choose the field best suitable for us. In this test, I had scored well in Math and Computer and that suggested me to pursue Science stream. The stream offered me a lot of options to choose as career.
I really never wanted to do engineering so I chose to do Bachelors of Computer Application that would give me both my favorite subjects, Maths and Computer. I started searching a budget-friendly good college. I also checked the course reviews on the Internet. It had good scope further.
When I visited Eminent College of Management and Technology - ECMT, surroundings, greenery, quite place, it just suited me. I was amazed by the short term courses that are offered at ECMT such as the hardware and troubleshooting course, Android app development. Talking about the teachers, their behaviour towards a student is good enough to join the college. I immediately thought of joining this college and embrace the new challenges.
How I cracked the college entrance exam
I knew I had to appear for the entrance exam. When the exam was scheduled I felt a little bit nervous. I didn’t know how I would get through my exam but had confidence enough to get through it.
The CET 2018 conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) for all the colleges under it included a written exam. The written test consisted of three sections, first was the English, the second one was the aptitude and the last was the basic Math. It wasn’t that hard as I thought.
The preparation required for the test was simply brushing up the eighth to tenth standard textbooks and reading newspaper and going through the current affairs. I didn’t take any coaching classes yet I made it to the college.
My experience in this college: classes, faculty and more
“Good, better, best. Never learn to rest. Till your good is better, till your better is best.” “Never say no to new experiences.” These are the two major lessons I have learnt from the college.
The college has taught me time management, handling situations maturely, making new friends, etc. It also taught me to judge people wisely and how to be silent and not to react when you fail to understand or agree with other person’s perspective. In this college, we have the most loving and helpful teachers and seniors. Each of them are very hardworking.
