I was in class 11 when I decided to go for Hotel Management as a career option after high school. As my school provided me two years of Higher education in the field of Hotel management and the world of hospitality, I was convinced that this industry has a lot to offer and in return requires our dedication and hard work. After completing my Higher education, I tend to appear for NCHMCT, but with some less ranking, I couldn’t get my preferred college. In the listing of colleges, I heard of Vedatya Institute, when I checked and enquired about the college, I was quite impressed with the services they offer and their way to approach us. I filled for Vedatya Institute and later day I got a call for an interview. The interview took place in Radisson Blu, Mahipalpur, where we were being examined over grounds of Pen & Paper exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. I was quite nervous for the same but when I met the faculty and Panel, they were quite confident and friendly when it came to one & one interaction. After a few days of my Exam and Interview, I received confirmation for our selection in Vedatya. I had been to college with my parents before my admission. The campus is quite big and it was enabled with many activities like Basketball, Football, Badminton, Lawn tennis and Cricket. These all activities attracted me towards campus life and the way we can handle both education as well as outdoor activities.

The interview took place in Radisson Blu, Mahipalpur, where we were being examined over grounds of Pen & Paper exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. I was quite nervous for the same but when I met the faculty and Panel, they were quite confident and friendly when it came to one & one interaction.

I remember it was my first day of college, being Day-scholar I had to wake up early and travel through the metro then bus. Sitting in Bus, many things were going on in my mind about the first day of college, how we all will be welcomed, how faculty would treat us, etc. When we all reached campus, I was quite impressed with our welcome where we had induction week planned. During the induction week, we were given the campus tour, the farm tour (where Vedatya grows its own vegetables), the welcome party accompanied by a movie. As time passed, all students became quite friendly with the faculty and the mentors. Sessions began to become more interactive and supportive aiming at making us industry-ready.

The best thing about Vedatya is its teaching methodology. Unlike traditional institutes, Vedatya not just focuses on theory sessions but gives equal importance to the practical sessions too. Moving ahead with an aim to make students future-ready, the institute has left no stone unturned in facilitating practical exposure to us be it in the form of industry visits, or internship opportunities with the most renowned brands in the industry such as ITC, The Oberio, Roseate and Radisson Blu. Through this, we not only learn the art of cooking but garnishing and customer delight experience. A lot of people confuse Hotel Management with only kitchen or housekeeping-related tasks but in reality, it’s way more than that. Vedatya has been teaching us Human Resource, Financial handling, Management Article writing as well as Sales and Marketing so we can explore different career opportunities in future.
