The institute gives the much-needed peaceful and safe environment to its students, says Rinki
After completing class 12 exams, I was sure that I wanted a career in Hospitality Management because I had this subject in my school and I started developing interest in it. Soon after completing exams, I started looking for colleges offering degree programmes in Hospitality Management. I shortlisted Vedatya Institute among all because of the inhouse farm, organic practices and more focus on practical exposure to the student. As a part of the admission process, one has to undergo an entrance test followed by a panel interview session. I was able to clear both the rounds and got through with the admission process. Here my journey at Vedatya begins.
I shortlisted Vedtaya Institute among all because of the inhouse farm, organic practices and more focus on practical exposure to the student.
Starting from the first day, I was very conscious to see that everything was new for me. After looking at the campus, I was addicted to the environment over there, the greenery and unending farms are just breathtaking! I was thinking that Life will change when we become more committed to what we love around us, and from that day I started facing new beginnings with different opportunities. We had one week of orientation in which we played lots of games also, had a lot of fun and interactions with everyone, that were one of my favorite memories of the initial days at college. Then after spending time with faculty members, I realised that this is the best college I could have ever hoped to get into. Vedatya changed my personality not only from the outside but also from the inside. Every faculty member is assigned a group of students to which they are responsible for 100 per cent focus on them. Being a part of this college, faculty teaches not only about the Hotel industry but also how to handle life challenges. The curriculum not only involves theory sessions but also includes debate, outdoor activities, competitions, etc. for a better understanding of students. An introverted person like me is now an extrovert with more knowledge and confidence.

Talking about my achievements and participation in this college, I was crowned as Miss fresher and became the Class Representative also, participated in ramp walk, solo dance, group dances, rangoli competition, Nukkad Natak, speech, role plays, etc. These are the activities that made me perfect and more confident on every path. I got the experience of working in most luxurious Hotels such as Hyatt Andaz, Holiday inn and Roseate Aerocity, those experiences gave me the guidance to understand how the hotel runs smoothly and why it is important to keep ourselves well-groomed and attain the right attitude.

My journey is at Vedatya is going really great. Vedatya boasts of a huge library where we can find any book related to Hospitality education, novels, magazines and various daily newspapers. The institute gives the much-needed peaceful and safe environment to its students both day scholars and hostelers and maintains a high standard of cleanliness & to motivate us towards everything. Every month we get the opportunity to play in the playground. The faculty members are very humble and always available for us - not only in matters related to studies but also if we are facing any difficulties in life or going through difficult times. Every classroom area is well-appointed to enable quality study and focus.
Due to the current pandemic situation, everything has become tough and challenging not only for students but also for professionals. I was getting very anxious that how everything will become normal again as it used to be pre-Covid because we all want to fulfil our desires and follow our dreams! To control Covid-19 situation and to follow the Government guidelines, we were told that Vedatya was shifting to online classes. There was no choice left with the faculty of our college if they wanted to ensure that we, students did not lose out on even a single day’s classes. Personally, to be honest, it doesn’t matter how you are learning, what matters is that we are focusing and giving our best. During the online classes also, we were focused on improvement and timely submissions of projects and assignments continued relentlessly! This mode of learning proved to be interesting and allowed more comfort, flexibility in our daily routine and overcome the boredom of being cooped up in our homes endlessly. Also, the best thing about Vedatya is that they have proved time and again that nothing can stop us from achieving our goals and now, we students also believe in the same mantra. During the lockdown period, we started making short videos of cooking and serving to our own family members to see their reactions and get genuine feedback, which was not only fun but also enabled crucial integration of applied learning.

At present, I am interning in UAE, Dubai with [Emaar Group of property] and am feeling extremely proud to be a part of this esteemed college. I believe that my future is being shaped very well because of their immense and constant support.
