The personality development sessions include mock PI and GD to help us prepare for final interviews, says Ritika

When we complete our schooling, we search for the best courses because that best becomes our career, our dream and our everything. When I completed my schooling in 2019, I was clueless about where to pursue Hotel Management in order to have the best education. And fortunately, I got the answer when I got to know about Vedatya Institute. And in order to have the best, I decided to give the entrance exam followed by an interview. The happiest feeling was when I got selected for the college. I got so excited to start my further education at the best college. The day I entered college, I was very warmly welcomed by the staff & faculty of Vedatya.

From the beginning of the orientation week to the date today, I have always learned something new every day at Vedatya. Vedatya has now become like a family where we can spend our time for hours and hours. I am blessed and proud to be a part of the Institute. The college not only focuses on classroom learning but also gives opportunities to grow more, to become a better professional, by engaging us in extracurricular activities along with various competitions such as sports, rangoli making, chef competitions, etc. I too participated in rangoli competition, badminton competition, group discussion competition and many more. I was also given an opportunity to go for an Outdoor Catering which is also known as ODC at Hyatt andaz, Aerocity, it is also a perfect opportunity to gain knowledge and experience at the same time.

The college not only focuses on classroom learning but also gives opportunities to grow more, to become a better professional, by engaging us in extracurricular activities along with various competitions such as sports, rangoli making, chef competitions, etc.

Talking about education, I have got to learn and gain knowledge but the most interesting part about studying here is that I get to experience a lot because of the practical exposure. What I learn, I get to apply it too. We work in the kitchen and cook; at the same time, I got the chance to learn service. The module leaders teach with such enthusiasm that one can’t resist attending the classes. They teach with such an interest and with the best knowledge and their experience that the classes become more interesting.  Apart from hotel management subjects, we are taught subjects like marketing, event management, finance and many more. One of the subjects which I personally like is the personality development session. This is one such where you get to be prepared for professional life not only mentally but physically as well. From my grooming to my soft skills such as building confidence and communicating well, everything is been taken care of. In these personality development sessions, we are taught how to get prepared for the interviews, that are held for the placements by taking mock interviews every semester so that we can improve till we get perfect and ready for the final interviews. Also, this becomes an advantage to be perfect for when I will be giving my placement interviews. We do activities like group discussion, debate, elevator pitch, mock interviews and many more, these activities indeed helped me to gain confidence in myself and be more expressive and fluent while communicating. It becomes very interactive and enjoyable to attend as everything is discussed very clearly and thoroughly. We are even told about the do's and don’ts while doing the activities such as we were taught not to debate while doing a group discussion, not to cross-cut the person while he is speaking and many such tips were given by the module leader.

One of the subjects which I personally like is the personality development session. This is one such where you get to be prepared for professional life not only mentally but physically as well. From my grooming to my soft skills such as building confidence and communicating well, everything is been taken care of.

Currently, I am pursuing industrial training from Novotel Pullman, Aerocity for six months which is going really smoothly. I am learning a lot and getting the chance to work in different departments such as housekeeping, front office and kitchen. Therefore, studying at Vedatya, also got the chance to do my training at a very renowned hotel brand.

My journey at Vedatya has been the best till now. It is totally the way I have expected it to be, a perfect college life with a soothing ambience, friendly surroundings and having amazing teachers.
