Well starting with my story, I am Jaskirat Singh(PHML 2020). My journey at Vedatya Institute has by far been the best and fun learning. Most of the students eventually thought their courses as Business Management, MBBS, Architects, engineers and many others but in my class, I was the only one who had decided in his ninth-grade itself that I want to pursue Hotel Management from a reputed college, My friends usually said that this course is not progressive as others and might have a slow start, my one teacher also one day said me that “The students who do nothing do Hotel Management” well this statement hit me hard even after performing excel in my exams I confronted that statement which was enough for anyone to break his morale but on that day I strengthened my goal and cleared out my vision clearly and decided that I will only pursue this course and perform so well and make my life best.

After my Class 12 exams, I gave entrances for colleges for HM like Radisson Vedatya, IHM, and IPU and cleared all with good rankings though my first choice was IHM as it was a government college but even after getting 600^th AIR And 89% aggregate in my boards exam, I was unable to get IHM, Delhi

But then I moulded my mind towards Private College and my first preference was Vedatya Institute and as I have cleared all the tests I got admission in PHML(Programme in Hospitality and Leadership Management), well I was very happy that I got a well-reputed college and when our classes started I was very excited to start a new journey of my life. Though unlike other universities I eventually noticed the edge of private colleges over the government colleges they are basically ahead of government colleges in terms of technology, Study, Infrastructure, Faculty, etc.

Here at Vedatya, I feel that everyone is getting equal focus on themselves by each and every faculty member, the one on one faculty support and focus is tremendous, The teachers are so educated and helpful that I always feel my future in safe hands which itself is a great feeling to get going. After some months when we were about to begin with our practical sessions I was very curious to meet all the faculty members and exploring the new world.

On the first day of the practical itself I noticed that the teachers here are very calm and performing tremendously hard to shape one’s future, none of the students feels neglected because the interaction was so focused on each student, Talking about the other aspects here at Vedatya, there are big farms on which literally every vegetable, fruit and herbs are grown and the best thing? It’s all organic. The fishes also breed here in the pool and now they are also planning to setup whole poultry and dairy farms here.

The cafeteria is very clean and spacious to spend quality time with batch mates and have food, the food pricing is so reasonable and less that every student can afford anything he wants from the menu and everything is freshly cooked.

With great education, Vedatya also helps in inculcating physical sports like cricket, badminton, Lawn tennis, Gym area which I think is a great way for recreation and keeping us physically fit and fine and Accompanying with a great library inside the campus for increasing our knowledge and vocabulary.

Just like me, I know other students also have thought in the mind that government colleges are better because they have great names and offer excellent placements but I must say that today, we are in a progressive world and I think that private colleges might have an edge over government colleges. Talking about placements, Vedatya holds a record of enabling 100% placement opportunities to all their out-going students, which I think is a huge differentiator!

I must conclude saying that one should not run behind the things which have a good name only. Rather than that one should consider the college where he/she might learn better skills and get excellent industrial exposure and which has the ability to make his/her dreams come true.

My experience at Vedatya till now has been fabulous and I believe it will be even better in the days to come.
