With time and curriculum, I have learned how to handle the corporate interviews without getting nervous, says Rushali

I had applied to 2-3 more colleges from Delhi/ NCR but by that time the pandemic had struck, and a lot of restrictions were applied. So, without wasting any time we selected JIMS as I had visited their campus prior to the restriction and had the chance to get interviewed by the director who was very friendly. But buy the time I got enrolled in JIMS he left the institute.

Since the very beginning I knew that I wanted to pursue MBA, but my parents wanted me to try for government job. Once I got graduated, I prepared for government exams but could not clear it. Then I started preparing for Cat and CMAT, then appeared for the same. Since I wanted to stay in Delhi itself, I started to read reviews about various colleges of Delhi and NCR. I got to know about JIMS; its placements and the good and rich corporate insights one got from this institute. So, without wasting much of time I got enrolled in this institute.

Before coming here, I spent a year studying for the CAT and CMAT. I took coaching for two months and then began preparing on my own. Every week, I would take various mock tests.

I used to watch various YouTube videos related to each section. Every week, I would watch two videos on each subject and then answer questions about it. I even used to watch those tricks and tips videos where they teach how to solve questions quickly.

My entire two years was online. I barely went to college even when it reopened. It was just two months when I went for the physical classes else everything was online/virtual; as I had an early joining so even when the college started on a physical mode I couldn’t go. Taking classes online was a lot more different than the physical space. But when the physical mode started it was little tiring at the start and to adjust to the change was a little difficult, but we got used to it be it coming for classes at 9 and be in the college straight till 5 was not at all easy but some days it used to be fun. The classes had been an excellent training experience because they were extremely informative. Various labs sessions starting from excel to communications all were very helpful for the interviews and GDs. Through these sessions I got to learn a lot, and it taught me how one should handle the corporate interviews without getting nervous. My PGDM experience has greatly shaped me as a person, both inside and out. What changed me was the experience I gained from the people during my tenure here. I met many people who gave me positive experiences, who supported me, and who taught me a lot as well as helped me whenever I needed support.
