I worked all through my graduation as a Business Development Consultant and pursued multiple ventures of own, says Aryan
I had started helping out in the family business right after I passed Class 10. I’d planned to join the same or start my own venture in the near future. However, keeping the risk involved in business in mind, I decided to prepare for medical entrance exams. I had a bit of interest in the field as well. However, by the time I appeared, I’d realised that I had a stronger inclination towards business. Hence, I enrolled in Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) at IITM, Delhi and simultaneously started working. I worked all through my graduation as a Business Development Consultant and pursued multiple ventures of my own as well. Post completing my graduation, I decided to pursue a properly structured business and management education. So, I prepared for the MBA entrance exams.
I did not enrol in any coaching classes for preparation of the MBA entrance exam. I appeared for XAT and scored 80 percentile. I applied and got shortlisted for several colleges from the likes of XIME Bangalore, IBS, and Welingkar Mumbai. While researching I came across Lexicon Management Institute of Leadership and Excellence and was pretty impressed by the curriculum and had also applied here. Now since I was working through my graduation, I had slightly less percentage than what was required by these institutes. I thought it would be the same for MILE too. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the management at MILE wasn’t so fixated on scores but rather relied on my interview and also took my work experience into consideration. So I secured admission at Lexicon MILE.

Unfortunately, we haven’t got the opportunity to physically attend classes in college yet. But I would like to mention here that unlike a lot of B-schools, the management team at Lexicon MILE has not let a pandemic slow them down. Where on one hand students are complaining about boring and redundant online lectures, the faculty at Lexicon MILE are leaving no stone unturned to make our online sessions engaging and fun. They are organising webinars with industry leaders, we have international faculty teaching our core subjects, and regular activities like debates, quizzes, and presentations are also conducted.
Not to forget, the college took us to Goa for our induction. Naturally, we weren’t allowed to leave the resort because of Covid but it was a much-needed change of scenery for all of us. The induction was as good as it gets - ice-breaking activities, presentations, corporate interactions, and a lot more.

As soon as the restrictions were eased and corporates were allowed to reopen, the institute paused the monotonous schedule of online classes and got us all short three-month internships out in the real world. They modified the curriculum, broke the nine-month internship into two chunks of three and six respectively. So now we could get corporate exposure with not just one but two companies.
Truly the most effective and efficient way to make the best out of the situation.
I look forward to seeing what the future holds and to see what opportunities Lexicon MILE presents me with.
