The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has declared the results of the third round allocation and up-gradation process; after cancelling the latest up-gradations for JEE Main seat allotment on July 23, 2013.

The third round allocation and up-gradation aims to fill all the seats left vacant after the first and the second round of allotment. After this, if some seats are still left unoccupied, those seats will be filled in the Spot Round.

Aspirants who have already been allocated seats during first three main rounds (either retained or rejected the seats) do not need to go for fresh registration and choice filling. They would not be eligible for the Spot round too.

Aspirants who have been allotted seats in the three normal rounds and have accepted them will have a chance for up-gradation in the Spot Round if they prefer.

Aspirants satisfied with their present seat can say 'No' to spot round in the option form.

Spot round choice filling and payment should be done online in advance, before going to RC for document verification and choice locking.

Spot round choices will also include self financing technical institutes.

Aspirants who have already paid Rs 40,000 online for spot round are not required to pay the amount again for third round reporting, if allocated a seat.

The third round reporting and spot round choice filling will be conducted simultaneously. Therefore, the vacancy position will not be displayed during choice filling. Students need to fill up choices, accordingly.

After being allocated seats in spot round, there will be no RC reporting for any aspirant.

All successful candidates can visit allocated institutes for any query or details about admission and attending classes.

This year - unlike previous years - spot rounds choices will include all institutes and branches to ensure zero merit violation.

NIT’s or any engineering college having B.Arch course are not good choice for B.Arch for following reasons. 1. Their placement record available on their websites is pathetic. Not more than 1 or 2 persons have been placed every year.
