University of Hyderabad to begin semester registration from August 17; check details here
University of Hyderabad has asked all the ongoing students to complete their semester registration through the e-governance portal from August 17 to August 29.
University of Hyderabad (UoH) has released semester registration circular for integrated postgraduate and postgraduate courses. As per the notification released by the controller of examination, all the ongoing students will have to complete their semester registration formalities for the Monsoon Semester (July – December, 2020) through the e-governance portal from August 17 to August 29.
The varsity has also the students to clear their hostel dues and sign an undertaking that they will pay their semester registration fee during next semester or no dues process if they are not able to do so due to the prevailing situations.
The University of Hyderabad in its circular stated that “Because of the continuing rise in the cases of COVID-19 in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the country, despite the registration, all the students are advised to stay at home. They will not return to the campus until further notice.”
The students union has opposed the move as they said that many students who don’t have internet access or devices to register for the next semester. The Students union members demanded the controller of examination to create a mechanism through which students who have been registered in the previous semesters will get automatically registered in this semester.
The varsity has also asked schools, departments, and centres academic units to check the mapping of courses in e-governance for the January-June 2020, semester. All faculty members have also been requested to enter marks of best continuous assessment scaled to 25 marks. Rest caclculation shall be automatic in e-governance portal. All entry of marks shall be completef by August 17, the varsity said.
