3 mins readUpdated on Jan 30, 2020 18:41 IST
When it comes to executive PGDM, today on paper there are dime a dozen choices in the market place. But, in fact, there are only a handful. International Management Institute New Delhi is certainly one of them. Thus, for anyone seriously interested, the choice ought to be an institute like IMI where executive PGDM program is all about ensuring total immersion and experiential learning.

From time to time every aspiring individual takes stock of his/her career progression thus far and looks for ways to fast forward his/her transit to a position of better stature and higher responsibility.  Of course, it is very much possible to stay in the same organisation and move forward in one’s career.  Nonetheless, in such a case, the progress would often be in incremental inches.  For those who have enormous potential and who are high octane achievers any incremental journey path is at best a compromise.  Such individuals should aim at pole vaulting in their career.  But making a quantum jump is possible only if one were to equip oneself with skillsets and qualifications that are coveted by the industry.  In today’s context, a professional management education qualification from a reputed institute is one such coveted tag.

From the point of view of an organisation recruiting at the lateral level someone without a management qualification would often mean after recruiting it has to invest a lot of time and resources to equip him/her with the necessary managerial competencies and perspectives. That is not feasible given the demands of the work environment now where a manager has to deliver from day one.  This is where an individual with executive management qualification scores over others.  An executive PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) program precisely prepares one to handle responsibilities from the very first day of his/her joining any organisation.  It does so by providing appropriate grounding accomplished by exposing one to various managerial principles, concepts and practices.   It enables him/her to connect the concepts with the real-life business world through case study based learning and peer learning.  It expands his/her horizons and perspectives when it comes to managing people, teams and every other resource.   It equips him/her with a handy framework that can be used in every possible business situation.  In essence, an executive PGDM program prepares one to be a complete and competent manager.

When it comes to executive PGDM, today on paper there are dime a dozen choices in the market place.  But, in fact, there are only a handful.  International Management Institute New Delhi is certainly one of them.  Thus, for anyone seriously interested, the choice ought to be an institute like IMI - International Management Institute where executive PGDM program is all about ensuring total immersion and experiential learning.  Not for nothing that IMI has an exceptional standing in the executive PGDM space.  Incidentally, IMI’s executive PGDM is the first of its breed in India.  It has a vintage of more than 35 years.  Over the years its Executive PGDM alumni have gone on to don very senior roles in some of the top-notch corporates in India.  On its part, IMI ensures that its program maintains the cutting edge by adopting a very rigorous as well as state-of-the-art curriculum and by using conducive pedagogy.  Besides, through deep and diverse industry engagement, IMI guarantees total immersion for the students vis-à-vis the business world.

On the placement side, IMI is possibly the only institute that refuses to make to sky-high promises just to lure candidates.  IMI would do all that it can to make the executive PGDM students industry ready so that they turn hot cakes in the eyes of potential recruiters.  It would also do its best to bring to the campus a good number of recruiters.  Given the above, it is natural a good percentage of IMI’s executive PGDM students get placed.  That is that and that is fact.
