The official declaration by CISCE came when some fake notices started making rounds on social media.
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) declared that the board neither announced new dates for the postponed board examinations nor cancelled the examinations altogether. The official declaration by CISCE came when some fake notices started making rounds on social media.
Issuing clarification regarding the fake news, the board said that four of such notices came to the council’s notice. Two of these fake documents are dated April 1, 2020, and the other two notices are of March 28 and February 7, respectively.
The third document dated March 28 notifies that board exam results will be declared on the basis of the already conducted exams. The fourth document dated February 7 notifies about ISC English I paper. Talking about all the stated documents, the board declared them as fake.
As of now, CISCE postponed the board examinations following the 21-day nationwide lockdown declared by the PM. The exams are neither cancelled, nor has the board released any schedule for the same.
According to the board’s statement, students are advised to refer to the official notices only. To check the authenticity of the notice, students are advised to check the same on the official website of CISCE. All the authentic exam updates will be available on the board’s web portal only.
