The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released the NIOS Result 2022 Class 12 for Oct/Nov public exams on the official website -nios.ac.in. In this article, we discuss the NIOS rechecking result and NIOS revaluation guidelines, NIOS rechecking fees, etc. Students are advised to go through this article so that they will get an idea of the NIOS rules for re-check and the NIOS evaluation process via NIOS login. The NIOS result 2023 April session date is not out.
Students can check the official website and check the NIOS result October 2022. They have to enter their enrollment numbers to check the NIOS result 2022. The NIOS result 10th class 2022 and NIOS result 12th class 2022 were announced simultaneously. Students have to check the official website for NIOS marksheet download.

NIOS Result Correction Guidelines
Request for result correction shall be done within 30 days from the date of release of the NIOS result. All the Candidates who are not satisfied with their NIOS result 2022 can apply for NIOS result correction in the subjects appeared in Public Examination of Secondary and Senior Secondary courses in October/November 2022. They have to login to the dashboard on the student portal -sdmis.nios.ac.in and click on the “Apply” link on the Result Correction tile as shown below:
Once you click on the Apply link, the screen will appear as shown below:
Select the Subject for which you want to apply Result Correction. After selecting the subject, select the type of Result Correction available for the students:
- Practical marks not included in the result
- TMA marks not included in the result
- TOC marks not included in the result
- Marked ABSENT in Theory

Re-evaluation of Answer Scripts
Those who have appeared for the Senior Secondary examination of NIOS can apply for re-evaluation of answer scripts in theory papers of any subject. There is no provision for re-evaluation in practical papers. Students should apply online for re-evaluation within 15 days from the date of declaration of results on the NIOS official website. Students can check the re-evaluation result on NIOS website later. Students should note that there is no re-evaluation in the Secondary Examinations.
Students can apply for re-evaluation for one or more subjects. The processing fee for re-evaluation is Rs. 800/- per subject (for Public Exam) to be submitted through the online (Credit/Debit Card or Netbanking) and Rs. 1000/- for ODES. If the increase of marks in re-evaluation is less than 5% of the maximum marks, the original marks will stand except when the candidate is able to get a pass with or without grace, the marks of re-evaluation will be given to the student. If the increase of marks on re-evaluation is 5% or more of the maximum marks the new marks will be given to the student. If the marks obtained on re-evaluation are less than the original marks, the original marks will stand.
NIOS will revise the old mark sheet wherever applicable. Fresh mark sheet will be issued after the old mark sheet is surrendered by the student at the concerned Regional Center. In no case the re-evaluation will be done in the presence of the learner or any one else on his /her behalf, nor will the answer books be shown. The revised mark sheet will be processed by the concerned Regional Centre to the student after taking back the old mark sheet. The revised result of re-evaluation will be final and binding on the candidate. No further request for re-evaluation will be entertained.

Those students who have appeared in the 10th or 12th Class examination of NIOS can apply for rechecking of answer scripts in the theory paper of any subject. The application for rechecking must be submitted online during the prescribed date. They are advised to apply for rechecking within 15 days from the date of release of result on the official website -nios.ac.in.
The verification will be restricted to the following:
- Checking whether all answers have been evaluated.
- There has been no mistake in the totaling of marks for each question in that subject.
- The marks have been transferred correctly on the title page of the answer book and to the award list and whether the supplementary answer books attached with the answer books mentioned by the candidate are intact.
No re-evaluation of the answer book or supplementary answer book(s) will be done. The marks on verification will be revised up or down, as per the actual marks obtained by the student in his/her answer book.
