Syllabus for NIOS Class 10th

The NIOS Secondary level subjects are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, as detailed below:

Students need to take a minimum of five subjects, with at least one language, and no more than two languages. A maximum of seven subjects can be chosen. The minimum pass percentage for the NIOS board is 33. In order to pass the Secondary class, students need to clear a minimum of five subjects, with at least one language from Group A and the remaining three or four subjects from Group B.

Only the Group B subjects in the NIOS board have practical exams. These are carefully designed to provide students with the most relevant real-life applications of a particular subject.
