Integrate your engg, pharmacy degree with management
Now students in Maharashtra can opt for two programmes at the same time and graduate with an integrated degree.
Maharashtra higher and technical education department recently approved the integrated management degree programme offered by private unaided institutions with courses such as engineering, pharmacy, computer applications and applied management. The degree is valid for six-year integrated programmes that combine management with technical courses, such as engineering, architecture or pharmacy. The student can also choose to take a break in the middle of the programme and gain some work experience.
Explaining the system, an official said a student pursuing engineering degree can also opt for management course and ultimately graduate with Masters in Technology Management.
Following the lines of universities in the UK and US, the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved both integrated degrees in management and dual degrees last year. However, Maharashtra has only picked up the integrated degree programme.
