Life at SIIB, including the curriculum and the overall quality of hostels and personal life.

Placements: 100 percent of students are placed, and the highest package is 25 LPA. 100 percent of students get internships. Roles are offered in marketing, supply chain, finance, agriculture, and sustainability. The top recruiting companies for the course include Asian Paints and Wipro. Sales and finance are a few of the roles that people generally look for.

Infrastructure: Great infrastructure is available for the course and department. There is good Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries. The quality of facilities in the hostel is great. There are sports and games facilities, along with a great mess and canteen. The food is great. Sports and games are celebrated.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are good enough. The difficulty level of the semester exams is appropriate and pushes us to perform better. The pass percentage is around 25 percent. The course curriculum is extremely relevant to the current scenario.

Other: There are great and lively events. The campus crowd is good, connectivity is good, and the surroundings are pleasant.

My experience at SIIB as a first-year student.

Placements: My experience with placements as a first-year student is quite reassuring. The highest package reaches 19 LPA. KPMG, EY, and Deloitte come to campus. Mock GDPI sessions are provided by alumni. These sessions help with preparation before placements actually begin. The profiles offered are very relevant. They cover consulting, strategy, & analyst roles in the sustainability arena.

Infrastructure: I really appreciate how well kept & spacious the campus is. Classrooms are equipped with smart infrastructure. This makes long lecture hours very manageable. We have an on-campus store. There is also a swimming pool. A sports arena, library, IT lab, and many more facilities are available. Hostel rooms are very spacious. Housekeeping is also done regularly.

Faculty: Faculty members are really supportive and approachable. They have substantial corporate & research backgrounds. The teaching methodologies rely heavily on real-life business case studies. Interactive group discussions & presentations are also used. The focus is not just on theory. The curriculum is very much aligned with corporate requirements. Practical modules like Excel and research methodologies are also included. Semester exams are moderately challenging. They test practical application rather than just conceptual understanding.

Other: I chose it because of its foundational management & industry relevance. Beyond academics, campus life is active. The campus is located right in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park at Hinjewadi. It is surrounded by major tech and corporate hubs. This provides a major advantage. Events like Ignisense and Aarambh keep the energy buzzing throughout the year. Various inter-college case study competitions are also organised. The peer group is driven. Students come from varied backgrounds across India. Cabs and autos are very easy to find for travelling to the main city. This is also convenient during peak traffic.

SIIB offers international business as a course that is a blend.

Placements: For the 2024-26 batch, many students receive their PPOs. Recruitment is also ongoing for the remaining students. The batch size for the IB 2026 batch is 180. For some courses, it is around 30. For agriculture, it is 60. The placements are good. The packages are also high.

Infrastructure: The hostel is nice and spacious. The campus is also nice. We have three hostels for women and three for boys. For first-year girls, we have Frangipani, which has three-sharing rooms. For first-year IB boys, we have Cherry Blossom, which is around 1 km away from the college. Shuttle services are available. We also have Wi-Fi and library facilities on the campus.

Faculty: The subjects teach us about real-world business problems. They also teach us how to deal with them. Faculty is very experienced and trained. They teach us real-life problem-solving skills. They also teach other management subjects. We have faculty members with over 25 years of experience.

Campus experience at a glance.

Placements: The placement process is smooth overall. It provides good exposure to recruiters and regular guidance for preparation. The college provides different guest lectures and mock GDPI sessions for preparation. Placements start in early August. By the end of January, 90% of students from each course get placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is comfortable and well equipped. It makes it easy to manage both academics and student activities. Beyond classrooms, we have a sports arena, club rooms, a gym, and swimming pool facilities. There is also an auditorium. All these facilities are well-maintained at all times.

Faculty: Faculty is helpful & open to discussions. This makes classroom learning more engaging. The assignments are aligned with real-life case studies for better understanding. We have different activities like simulations, presentations, and MUN. These activities make the classes interactive. We also have faculty mentors who help and guide us.
