What is SNAP Exam?
Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is conducted for admission to MBA programmes offered by SIU constituent institutes. The exam is conducted commonly for all 16 SIU institutes in the month of December. Apart from Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU), JK Business School-Gurgaon also accepts SNAP score for admission to its MBA programmes.
SNAP 2026 exam will be of 1 hour in each attempt. It will have questions from General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning in objective type format. Candidates can take three attempts in SNAP. Best of the three scores will be considered for SIU MBA admission. Post the SNAP exam, candidates will have to appear for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the SIU institutes individually.

Bachelor's degree in any stream or equivalent with minimum 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD candidates) from a recognised university or institute can apply for SNAP 2026.

Yes, it is mandatory to fill the SNAP application form for admission to the MBA programmes of the SIU institute. There is a field in the SNAP application form where candidates have to mention their choice of SIU colleges and MBA courses they wish to pursue. They need to pay INR 1000 per college selection. There will be no institute specific application form released later. Candidates will have to use the SNAP application ID to fill the admission shortlist forms of the constituent institutes. If a candidate fails to mention a college in their SNAP application form, they will not be shortlisted for WAT-GE-PI of that SIU institute.
Correction in the already submitted application form is not allowed in SNAP as it doesn't have form correction provision like other MBA entrance exams. Candidates can edit their form only till the time it is not submitted and the fee is not paid. Until the form is saved in the student dashboard, you can edit it. Once the fee payment is done, your SNAP application will be locked for examination agency’s verification.

For example, total marks in SNAP is 60, so any candidate getting the highest score out of 60 will get 99.99 percentile. There is no passing mark in SNAP. Candidates scoring more than 0 in the exam are eligible for WAT-PI round of SIU institutes. Between SNAP and NMAT, the former is considered easier in terms of difficulty level of the questions. However, SNAP is of 60 minutes in which candidates have to address 60 question. This makes SNAP more challenging than NMAT which is a test of longer duration (2 hours having 108 questions).

Usually it is recommended that Arun Sharma series (Verbal, Quant, DI), R.S. Aggarwal's Reasoning/Quant books, and Word Power Made Easy, are enough for SNAP preparation. Sample questions papers, mock tests, sectional test series are also important.

SNAP total marks is 60 so 40 to 45 marks can be considered a good score. It will convert into about 97-98 percentile. So, it the exam, candidates must aim to attempt 40 to 45 questions correctly.

Two months may not be enough to prepare for SNAP exam, if you are attempting it for the first time. However, you can try with a very specific and focussed plan. Check SNAP question papers of previous years to know dominant subjects. Study only those thoroughly and practice mock tests side by side.
