SNAP 2026 exam dates and registration schedule are expected to be announced soon. Basis the trend of previous years, application window can be expected to open in the first week of August. Candidates who plan to pursue MBA from any SIU of the 16 constituent institutes, must apply for SNAP exam, as it a mandatory requirement for MBA admission. The application fee will be INR 2500. What is SNAP Exam?

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is a common entrance exam for admission to MBA courses offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. Apart from Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU), JK Business School-Gurgaon also accepts SNAP score for admission to its MBA programmes. SNAP is an annual exam, with maximum 3 attempts in the given academic session. Candidates will have to solve questions from General EnglishQuantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.  Check key highlights of SNAP 2026 exam in the table below:

Check the minimum eligibility criteria required for SNAP 2026:

Candidates have to fulfil below given eligibility criteria for appearing in SNAP exam 2026:

  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45 % for SC/ST/PwD), from a recognized university.
  • Final year candidates can also appear for SNAP, but the score of their first and second year should meet the requirement.
  • For some MBA courses offered by SIU institutes, candidate must have studied specific subjects in graduation.

SNAP 2026 Application Process

SNAP 2026 registration cum application process will be online. Candidates will have to register for the exam online and then fill the form. Given below is the process to register and fill the application form.

  • Visit the SNAP 2026 website (snaptest.org) 
  • Click on 'apply now'
  • Enter name, phone number, email ID, etc. in registration window
  • A login will be created and you will be redirected to the application form
  • Upload a recent passport size photo
  • Pay INR 2,250 via credit/debit card or net banking 
  • Enter academic details, work experience and address
  • Select SIU colleges and courses of your choice
  • Pay INR 1,000 per course/college to complete the process

SNAP Test Cities and Centres

SNAP exam is conducted in nearly 80 cities across India. Candidates have to choose a test city in accordance with the test session (not all SNAP sessions are conducted in all SNAP cities). The examination body will allot test centre accordingly.

SNAP 2026 Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Preparation

Knowing the SNAP paper pattern and syllabus 2026 will help candidates prepare better for the exam.  

SNAP 2026 Exam Pattern

SNAP 2026 exam pattern is same as last year. There will be three attempts and all three of them have same timings and test pattern. Here’s the sectional break up:

Important: There is negative marking of -0.25 for incorrect attempts. 0 marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.

SNAP 2026 Syllabus

The SNAP syllabus 2026 includes Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. One can cover all the topics in 4-5 months and crack the exam with high scores. Since, the nature of questions are different in SNAP, it is advised that candidates prepare for it separately and not combine with other MBA entrance exam preparation. SNAP 2026 Preparation Tips

Even though SNAP is an easy exam, you will need to put in quality time and prepare with a focussed strategy. This exam requires a lot of pratice as speed is the key. You must know what and how much to practice. It is important to go thriugh previous years' SNAP question papers, to know the most important topiics and make a preparation strategy around it. Given below are some basic SNAP preparation tips:

  • SNAP 2026 preparation plan should include weekly and monthly targets so that the syllabus is covered on time and candidates get ample time to practice questions/mock tests.
  • Practicing official SNAP mock test and revision in the last month is crucial. A major part of success depends on the number and quality of SNAP mock tests you have attempted.

SNAP 2026 Admit Card

SNAP 2026 admit card will be session specific. It will be released for each session on separate dates. Check below the steps to download SNAP admit card:

  • Log on to SNAP 2026 website
  • Click on 'admit card for Test 1/Test 2/Test 3' tab
  • Enter SNAP ID and password
  • SNAP admit card tab will appear on the screen
  • Click on download option and save the hall ticket

Candidates will be required to carry a colour copy of the SNAP admit card 2026 to the exam centre, along with a valid photo ID. Digital copy of the SNAP 2026 hall ticket will not be accepted as document of verification.

SNAP 2026 result cum scorecard for all three attempts will be released on the same day. The mode of SNAP result announcement will be online. Check below the process to download SNAP scorecard:

  • Go to https://www.snaptest.org/
  • Click on 'Download Scorecard for SNAP 2026' option
  • Enter SNAP ID and password
  • SNAP 2026 result will appear
  • Download it and take a print out

Candidates must download their scorecard as soon as it is released and preserve it until the admission process is over as the download window will remain open for a limited time period only.

SNAP 2026 scorecard will contain candidate's details and scores. Those shall have made more than one attempt, can use best of all attempts for PI shortlisting and admission.

Q:   Is SNAP exam conducted in multiple slots?
A: 

SNAP is usually not conducted in multiple shots. But in 2025, each of the 3 SNAP sessions had 2 slots. 

Q:   I am in my final year of Graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A: 

Yes, you are eligible to apply for SNAP. Since there is minimum score requirement for SNAP, final year candidates will have to make sure that their minimum score of first and second year is above 50% (45% for reserved category). 

Q:   How many cities can an applicant choose in SNAP for test centre allotment?
A: 

An applicant can select up to three cities for allotment of test centre in the SNAP application form. The exam authorities will allot the exam centre to candidates in their preferred city. In case, seats are not available in the first preferred city, it will be notified in the form and candidates can select another city. Candidates must select their home city or city of current residence as first preference.

SNAP is conducted in about 84 cities across India. The latest list of SNAP cities has been released along with the SNAP registration form. Every city will have at least one SNAP exam centre to accommodate a minimum of 50 test takers. You can select only one city per exam session. For example, if you want to appear for SNAP exam only once, then you can select only one city. 

Q:   I do not have 50 percent in graduation. Can I apply for SNAP?
A: 

Minimum eligibility criterion for SNAP is 50 percent score in graduation for General category candidates. However, if you belong to any of the Reserved categories and have a minimum of 45 percent of in graduation you can apply for SNAP.

Q:   Which one is easy SNAP or NMAT?
A: 

Between SNAP and NMAT, the former is considered easier in terms of difficulty level of the questions. However, SNAP is of 60 minutes in which candidates have to address 60 question. This makes SNAP more challenging than NMAT which is a test of longer duration (2 hours having 108 questions).

Q:   What is a good score in the SNAP exam?
A: 

SNAP total marks is 60 so 40 to 45 marks can be considered a good score. It will convert into about 97-98 percentile. So, it the exam, candidates must aim to attempt 40 to 45 questions correctly.

Q:   How to prepare for SNAP exam in two months?
A: 

Two months may not be enough to prepare for SNAP exam, if you are attempting it for the first time. However, you can try with a very specific and focussed plan. Check SNAP question papers of previous years to know dominant subjects. Study only those thoroughly and practice mock tests side by side.

Q:   What are the best study materials for SNAP preparation?
A: 

Usually it is recommended that Arun Sharma series (Verbal, Quant, DI), R.S. Aggarwal's Reasoning/Quant books, and Word Power Made Easy, are enough for SNAP preparation. Sample questions papers, mock tests, sectional test series are also important.

Q:   How many marks are deducted for skipping questions in SNAP?
A: 

There is no negative marking for skipping questions in SNAP. If a candidate skips a question, he will marked 0 on that.

Q:   Is SNAP easier than all other MBA entrance exams?
A: 

Yes, SNAP can be considered easier than all other MBA entrance exams but one needs to still prepare for it with complete dedication. The SNAP may be considered easier as it is a 60-minute exam and the number of questions is also 60. The English section does not have RC passages and QA-DI are easy. Moreover, one can attempt it thrice in the same academic session and use the best score of all attempts to seek admission.

Q:   What is a good score in SNAP?
A: 

A good attempt of around 80 per cent of questions with 85-90 per cent accuracy is considered good score in SNAP. The SNAP exam has 60 questions only, so the number of attempts considered good are 40-45. Candidates must aim to solve a good number of questions in every section of SNAP, so that their overall score is good and they have a better chance of getting selected for admission. If you do not clear the SNAP cut off may not be eligible for admission to MBA programmers offered by SIU institutes. Meeting the minimum cut off is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). Thus, when preparing for SNAP, keep in mind a target score. The SNAP cut offs are lower for Reserved category candidates.

Q:   Is the SNAP exam remote proctor based?
A: 

SNAP exam is not remote proctor based. It is computer based. Candidates have to visit a designated test centre to appear for SNAP. The option to select test city for centre allotment is given to candidates in the application form. The SNAP test centre is allotted to the candidate in the city they select in the SNAP application form. On the day of the exam, candidates have to visit the test centre at the given time to attempt the test on a computer terminal.

Q:   Is there any SNAP counselling fee?
A: 

There is no SNAP counselling fee to be paid. The fee is already charged in SNAP application fee per college selection.

Q:   Are SNAP candidates required to apply separately for all SIU campuses?
A: 

SNAP candidates are not required to apply separately for all SIU campuses. They can select colleges in the SNAP application form. However, they need to fill the PI-shortlist form separately for whichever colleges they get shortlisted.

Q:   How is SNAP final merit list prepared?
A: 

SNAP final merit list is prepared on the basis of candidate's entrance exam score, academic profile, work profile and GE-PI performance.

Q:   What is the minimum cutoff marks for SIU admission through SNAP?
A: 

The minimum marks of every SIU institute varies. While for SIBM Pune and SCHMRD the minimum cut off is usually 95-98 percentile, the cut offs for SSBF Pune is nearly 60.

Q:   I did not score well in SNAP 2025, can I appear for SNAP 2026 to improve score?
A: 

Yes, you can appear for SNAP 2026. There is no cap on number of attempts in SNAP. One can appear for the exam, any number of times until they get their desired score. However, it is very important to prepare well for SNAP. Only then one can improve score in the subsequent attempt. One should note down their shortcomings in the first attempt and work on them so that they can make up in the second attempt. 

Q:   How many times can I download SNAP admit card?
A: 

There is no restriction on downloading SNAP admit card multiple times. But it will be wiser to download it once and keep the copy saved in a folder and email, so that you can access it anytime and anywhere. Because every time you wish to download the SNAP admit card from the official website, you need to log in every time.  

Q:   How many attempts are allowed in SNAP exam?
A: 

Every candidate can make three attempts in SNAP exam. The SNAP exam is conducted in three sessions in a gap of one or two weeks. Candidates can mention their number of attempts in the SNAP application form. However, they will have to pay application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only then they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.  The scores of best attempt will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test.

Ideally candidates must take all three attempts as the difficulty level of the sessions could be different and it may so happen that one session is easy and candidates can score high in that.
