SNAP percentile is the relative measure of a candidate’s performance against rest of the candidates. If a candidate scores 99 percentile in SNAP, it means, his performance is better than 99 percent of the total candidates. The SNAP percentile will be calculated for every test takers. The SNAP percentile can be calculated by using the same formula which is used for other MBA entrance exams. The SNAP percentile calculation formula is:
SNAP Percentile = [(Total Number of Candidates - Rank of a Candidate) / Total Number of Candidates] x 100
Explanation by example:
Suppose 20,000 candidates appear for SNAP, and a candidate has scored 1000 rank, then his SNAP percentile will be 20,000-1000/20,000 X 100 = 95 percentile.

No other exam score apart from SNAP is accepted by the SIU institutes for MBA admissions. Candidates who wish to pursue MBA from the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University have to appear for the SNAP exam and clear it. The SNAP exam is conducted in the month of December every month.
SNAP score is in fact valid for admission to only the 16 SIU institutes. No other private or government MBA institute accepts SNAP for admissions.
Minimum academic requirement for SIU admission through SNAP is graduation with at least 50% marks (45 % for reserved categories). Higher your academic score, higher the chances of getting selected.
If your name does not reflect in the first list of candidates selected for admission through SNAP, then you must wait for second list. Colleges release wait list of candidates who are eligible for admission, if the seats remain vacant after first round of admission.

The minimum marks of every SIU institute varies. While for SIBM Pune and SCHMRD the minimum cut off is usually 95-98 percentile, the cut offs for SSBF Pune is nearly 60.
There is a minimum of one test centre in each SNAP city. However, in big cities like Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, etc. there can be two test centres.

A candidate can appear for upto three tests for both SNAP at SIU Pune. If a candidate appears for more than one test for either SNAP, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation and there will be no normalization.
