IGNOU admission cycle opens twice in a year i.e. January and July. The registrations for January session usually begins in December and close by March. The July session for ODL/ Online programmes begin in May and continue till July. The mode of application is online for all the courses.

Madras University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. For admission to courses such as MBA, MCA etc., the university accepts scores of entrance exam i.e. TANCET. The foundations for the Adhiyaman Men's Hostel and Periyar Maniyammai Women's Hostel were laid in 2007. The hostels are secured by the wardens as well as deputy wardens and mess facility is available to the students. For girl students, a second hostel, the New Women's Hostel, has been completed in 2019.

BRAOU admit candidates to the BCom programme based on merit in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12. The admission is also offered under the eligibility test category. SAM Global University is a private university and was established under the Shri Guru Hargobind Society. The university is approved by UGC and Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidhyalaya (Sthapana Avam Sanchalan) Adhiniyam 2007. SAM Global University Bhopal has also been approved by AICTE, MPPMC, NCTE, INC, etc. Further, the university was established in 2019 and has 10 constituent units.
