Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical) - Batch of 2023

Good college for Dual programme.
Placements: AAE Bangalore is not like the other colleges, our college supports the students' with employment. Many of my batch mates got placed in companies like Indigo, Akasa, Airbus, Star Air, etc. Many companies visit the campus for hiring. We have been seeing the students of this college getting opportunities worldwide.
Infrastructure: Two aeroplanes have been placed in the college campus, one is a Business JET LearJET and another is a Navion Aircraft. Also, this college has well maintained laboratories. The institute is located at a very beautiful place near the Kempegauda International Airport. The campus is neat and clean. Classes are big in size and comfortable.
Faculty: Faculty members are Airforce retired officials and from the aviation industry. They are consistent in their teaching. We have been given a very good training in practicals as well as in theory through excellent presentations. The faculty members are competent and have deep knowledge. Some of the faculty members are from the Industry who take lectures and give a very good insight.

If you have an interest in maintenance engineering, then you can join the college, otherwise no.
Placements: You have to find jobs on your own. The college only focuses on fulfilling the purpose of a degree. They do not provide any job opportunities. Working in aviation is full of headaches. There is no proper salary provided to the maintenance technicians across the globe. Do not believe the college’s claims of providing jobs.
Infrastructure: There is no separate hostel facility for the college. They provide accommodation in a private hostel nearby which is nearly 2 kms away from the college. There is no ground for playing any kind of sports. They usually conduct sports every 1 year alternatively. There is neither a Wi-Fi nor any canteen.
Faculty: The faculty is not that bad but self study is a must. The course does not make students ready for the industry. The passing percentage is 75%. College exams are conducted just for namesake. You need to clear DGCA exams if you want to become a qualified maintenance engineer. Different exams are to be cleared for different countries.

One of the best AME colleges in India.
Placements: Most of the colleges providing this course give fake hopes about placements, but this college does not give fake assurances. They actually help a lot in the placement of students. As a result, you can see that most of the students who have completed their courses from this academy are placed in the top airlines (both domestic and international) and MROs worldwide.
Infrastructure: They provide excellent infrastructure with all necessary facilities like an Aircraft engine shop, Aircraft electrical shop, and an exclusive library with a great collection of books related to A.M.E. studies. There is a well-managed hanger with 2 aircrafts, on which students undergo some practical training.
Faculty: This is the best part of this college. They have a top-class faculty with wonderful teaching experience, even though most of them are from an airforce background. DGCA approves this college for B1.1 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics). Basically, A.M.E. is not a degree course, so in this college, they provide an opportunity to opt for either B.E. in Aeronautical (approved by VTU, Belgaum) or BBA in Aviation management along with A.M.E. so that students can even have a degree in their hand.

This college is for those students who are interested in aviation.
Placements: The placement rate is nearly 90% to 95%. The highest package is about 3 LPA, and the minimum package is 1 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Indigo, Air India, Vistara, Go Air, etc. Most of the placements are in companies like Indigo and Airbus. The top role offered in college is aircraft maintenance engineer.
Infrastructure: The college campus is good. Labs in college are very suitable and huge. All equipment in the lab is in good condition, and the college gives all equipment to students. The college has its own private JET in the hangar. The college also has a Shesna plane. Classrooms have projectors.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced. They have knowledge of that course. They are well qualified and well educated. The teaching quality is very good. This is a professional course, and after completing it, students are ready for jobs. The difficulty level of exams depends on how students study. The pass percentage for A.M.E. is 75%.
Other: If you are interested in the aviation industry, then this course is for you. There are many events, like sports events.

We are very dissatisfied by our faculty.
Placements: Not even a single airline or any other IT companies has come to our college regarding placements. The college management has given us false information regarding placements. Not even a single students was placed. Top recruiting companies for our course are : Tata, indigo, airbus, booeing, vistara, star air, etc. 50% of students in Air india 50% of students in air works. Top roles are offered in our course Aircraft maintenance engineer.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average, the washrooms are not maintained properly, every time there is a leakage of water in taps, classrooms are good but sunlight does not enter the classrooms so when there is a power cut the classrooms become dark. Labs are good and teachers teach us what is useful for us in the lab.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable with good experience in aviation field so the teaching quality is also very good. The course curriculum is relevant but does not make students ready for industry. The semester exams are better and the pass percentage for a student is 75.
Other: I chose this course thinking that it has a very good future in aviation industry but sad reality is shaping career in India for this course is very difficult. Many things has to be improved by our college firstly they have to stop giving false word/statements to the students secondary is give proper training facilities for students tertiary the Chief instructor has to be changed henceforth the college fees is very high for this course. There are only few events conducted by the college there are no scholarship facilities, there is no crowd, campus is very small literally only a building, no college ground, no extracurricular activities.

AME is good for a career in the aviation industry. It will grow more in the upcoming future.
Placements: Companies like Tata, Textron and Silent recruit AME mechanical students for tech publications and instruments handling. These companies conduct an online exam, and if you clear those exams, you can appear for the next round of interview. Our 27th and 28th batch is the best till now in this institution.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that good, but all the basic requirements are available here for education. The library has reference books and modules. There are two aircraft for practicals and module wise labs for practical knowledge.
Faculty: The course duration is 3 years with 6 semesters, and it has 11 modules or subjects. DGCA conducts examination over these modules, and it is held 4 times a year. Students can appear for the module of their choice. You have to clear all modules within 10 years after getting your computer number. Airforce retired teachers have good knowledge and experience of working in different aircraft.
Other: Campus facilities are not that good. It is just an academy, so you can't expect many facilities.

It has good facilities and faculty members, but I would not recommend you to join here.
Placements: About 60% of the students got placed from our course. None of the students has become an AME. However, the highest salary offered to a technician is Rs. 10,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 8,000 per month. Companies like Air India and Indigo visit here for placements. About 80% of the students got internships in Air India. The role offered to students of AME is a technician, which guides us to become more careful and alert in our lives.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are good here, but the hostel is not good. There are no sports or medical facilities. The quality of the food served here is more or less fine. But sports events are not organised, which is a disappointing thing. Our college does not even have a table tennis board or any other things.
Faculty: Teachers are great here, and they help us in every possible way. They are qualified, and some of them have experience in Indian Air Force. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready. This course is really good and unique, and you can have a better future in India in this course.
Other: I wanted to be a pilot, but I failed the medical test, so now I want to become an AME because I love aviation. I wish that placements could be better for our course. In our college, fests are not organised, and freshers party was not organised. Only teachers' day programme or any cultural programme like Ganesh puja or any other pujas are conducted here.

Absolutely satisfied with teaching they provide at the campus .
Placements: Basically everyone from the college who is having good number of module papers easily gets placed either in airlines like indigo, vistara, air india, goair, AirAsia or technical publications like TATA, QUEST GLOBAL, Cent. If we speak about internship even from my batch almost all of them are doing from air india and air works.
Infrastructure: Small but decent campus equipped with all the labs and hanger which is having 2 aircraft like single Engine navion and multi Engine learjet 25. Various practical labs are also available in campus even mess is available where we get north as well south indian food. But it will take time to adjust with food.
Faculty: Most I love about this college is its teachers almost everyone is from Indian airforce background they have very good practical knowledge about the aircrafts. And what they teach in classroom as well as in hanger is totally revalent to module papers and training .
Other: I have chosen this institution because of faculty.

It totally depends upon the company policies. some of the companies can directly hire you for the post of Aircraft Maintenance Technician(AMT),but some companies will give extra training of 6 months-1 year, after that they will give you the post of AMT.

Hello, The eligibility for AME is 12th but many colleges allow diploma holders since they treat diploma as equivalent to 12th as is done by IIT's. But it depends from institute to institute.
