Best college for engineering in Chikmagalur.

Placements: The placement in the college is very poor because every year, the maximum number of the students won't get a job in this college. So we are really fed up because of placements, especially for the civil and mechanical departments. No companies will come for placements.

Infrastructure: There is a good infrastructure, of course, provided in the college with modules. The labs are in very good condition. The library is also very good, where we can spend our time studying in the library, and it is also very peaceful. I have no idea about the college hostel because I haven't chosen the hostel.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are very good and faculty are very friendly with students. They guide the students very well and all the faculty in the college are well educated. Exams are done very strictly in a well-disciplined manner, but sometimes, due to university responsibility, the exams will be delayed.

It is a very good college and has value for money.

Placements: About 75% of students are getting placed in good companies like Wipro, TCS, TVS, Audi, Mahindra, etc. Many students get an average salary package of 11 LPA to 25 LPA. The civil engineering students also get placed in software companies.

Infrastructure: It is a very good college with the best courses. It is recommended for all young students. Everything is specialised and its infrastructure is awesome with a good nature. The hostels are the best to accommodate all basic necessities and provide good food.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly in our college. They are the best teachers for the best courses. The best course is civil engineering. Civil engineers are the creators of this world. This is the only course with lots of hard work and is more profitable with lots of dedication.

The college is in between average and I am dissatisfied in placements, exposure and opportunities.

Placements: There are no placements for the civil engineering department in this college. No core companies visit our college. We can sit for IT placements. In our batch, 2 students out of 120 were placed for Infosys as system engineers. Their package was 3.6lpa. Few students got internships through our college but it is less than 5%.

Infrastructure: Our college had a solid classroom and two recording classrooms in our department. Wi-Fi connection was available which was useless then. We had many labs for respective subjects. We had 1 library. The hostels were better than mid-level hostels in India. Sometimes, the food was great and sometimes it was horrible. There was a huge ground inside the campus where many types of games were played.

Faculty: Our college had excellent faculty members. Few teachers were solid. The curriculum was not good. There were so many things that we never learned from that curriculum. Semester exams were moderately difficult and the pass percentage is 40%, in which internals is for 40 and external is for 60 but one should score a minimum of 21 in external and the sum of internal and external should be 40.

Other: I chose this course because it is in my hometown. The best thing about my course is that they say it's evergreen. Improvements needed in industry oriented programs and internships. We use have "Chunchana" that was our fest and we used to get scholarships based on academics. There were many opportunities in extracurricular activities. Many students make use of those opportunities.

It is good if you are capable of paying huge money then only choose this college.

Placements: There are no placements in the college. Try some other colleges for placements. For my senior batch also there are no placements. One of the IT companies once visited the campus. Only very few were placed, I guess. Our college got university ranks.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. The classrooms are very clean and neat. The quality of the labs is also good. The food in the canteen is super. The hostels are good, but there is no canteen in the hostel. The hostel rooms are also good. The hostel maintenance is not good. The hostel food is good.

Faculty: The faculty are good. All senior professors are working here. Young lecturers are also good, and they teach well. The teachers are also qualified. They'll teach well if we can't understand English. They'll teach even in mother tongue language. They are good at English, Hindi and Kannada.

The best college which is suitable for everyone.

Placements: The placements were very good in our batch as everyone was well prepared for the placements. Most probably 60% of our batch was placed in very good companies, and others have already found some good job in good companies. Also many are well satisfied with their jobs and salaries.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good when compared to other colleges of the same period. All departments have a separate building with a very good library which provides textbooks to everyone. We have a large playground with basketball, football, cricket, Kho and hockey courts. The college canteen is very good with cheap and the best foods. We have our own website where you can find other further information.

Faculty: Our college affiliated to VTU, Belgaum has a very good faculty with good experienced teachers, has a very good learning environment. The total duration of BE course is 4 years. Other courses are available in our college are diploma in engineering, B.Com, etc.
