B.A. (Hons.) in Music - Batch of 2022
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Strong infrastructure. Great campus life. Excellent facilities, supportive faculty, and top-notch.
Placements: The placement percentage is 78%. The highest and the lowest packages are not known yet. 60% of students got an internship. As a music teacher, the instruments are known and with many roles, but the main role that I want is there is the role of a singer who can sing in many voices of male and female.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are always available in this course for every instrument. The quality of food in the mess is clean and hygienic. The food quality is amazing, with very low prices, and the medical facilities are so good there, but not that much.
Faculty: They are very helpful. Teachers' quality is good, some are very good. They help students to find classes, and teachers are very polite with students. Semester exams are not that tough, about 80% percent of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because I love music. This course can help me in many ways. I am learning new Instruments. There are many events as well as fests.

B.A. in Economics - Batch of 2026
4.2

College infrastructure and teaching faculty are satisfactory, but placements are very limited.
Placements: Placement drives happen in our college annually. Companies like TCS, HCL, and Infosys offer very few positions to our final-year batch. Students get basic packages of about 3 to 5 LPA. Around 40โ€“50% of students with good skills, especially from tech backgrounds like BCA, get hired.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, with Wi-Fi facility available inside the campus, 3 computer labs, semi-smart classrooms, and a library housing around 70,000 books. The college has a hostel that accommodates students from marginalized communities like SC, ST, EWS, and OBC. The quality of food is good. The college has separate canteens for boys, girls, and faculty members. One big sports ground is attached to the campus.
Faculty: Teachers at the college are very helpful and dedicated, and the teaching quality is great. Courses offered by the college are very relevant and modernized. All courses follow the guidelines of NEP 2020. The semester exams are moderate, neither very difficult nor very easy, although students need to study. The pass percentage is around 70% or above.
Other: I chose Economics because of my personal interest in the field. What I like about my course is Economics faculty. 75% attendance is mandatory, which I personally feel should be enforced. All major events and festivals are organized and celebrated at the college. The campus is crowded during working hours. Scholarships are offered to orphans, PwD students, and students belonging to the EWS category. Extracurricular activities are actively organized and supported.

Bachelor Of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2024

I am not satisfied with the placement but satisfied with the atmosphere and infrastructure.
Placements: As far as I know, no one got placement from our college, and I didnโ€™t get one either, so I would say 0%. No package was offered as there were no companies. Some internships were offered last semester, but only for one month.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure was good. Student parking was also good, the roads were clean, and the watchmen were the best. The hostel quality was not that good, which is why I rated it 3 stars. The mess was average. There was no medical facility. The sports facility was good. There were enough sports to try and a big ground as well.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and well-knowledgeable. Overall, the teaching quality was pretty good. It could make students industry-ready a little bit, but not fully, and they should have improved this. Semester exams were not that tough I would say they were of medium level. The pass percentage was 33%. The teaching staff was good when I was there.
Other: I was expecting a job placement, but unfortunately, I didn't get one. I wanted to improve the course structure.

B.A. in Kashmiri - Batch of 2024
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It is absolutely one of the best colleges in the Kashmir valley with the best faculty members.
Placements: 30% of students get placed in my course because there are limited seats available for any course. It has a friendly environment with a moderate type of placements. The highest salary offered in our course is 1.2 lakhs per month, and the lowest salary is more than Rs. 35,000 per month in starting.
Infrastructure: It has the best infrastructure for the course and hostel at Amar Singh College. It has free Wi-Fi for students (daily 1 GB of data for students for their educational uses only). Classrooms are well-maintained with projectors. The library is one of the biggest in our valley.
Faculty: Our college has the best faculty members. It has a moderate type of exam. Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in our college are of an easy-to-moderate type.
Other: One thing that should be done better is giving students the choice to choose all subjects .

B.Sc. in Zoology - Batch of 2024
1.4
1Placements1Infrastructure1Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life1Value for Money
The infrastructure is the best but not enough facilities are provided.
Placements: None everyone has to choose different fields after studying and finishing a B.Sc as unemployment is at its peak. We have to consider every aspect of life or we will have to dedicate more years to doing M.Sc and PhD. Even after that, there is no assurance that we will get a job.
Infrastructure: Libraries don't always have books that we need and they do not even keep track of anything. The food is good and prices are fair. There are no medical facilities and no sports or games. It used to close the gate of the main ground and only a few selected are allowed to play.
Faculty: Teachers are the worst and they didn't teach very well. They should conduct proper exams and screening before taking anyone as a teacher. At least, they should be humble but they are the worst, especially in the Zoology and Botany departments.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry - Batch of 2028

It is a good college for Arts, not for Science.
Placements: It is a good college with great students, located in the district of Srinagar.
Infrastructure: The college provides great facilities for students, has an indoor college and library with more than 1,000 books, and a playground for students to play outdoor and indoor games. The teachers are friendly. I don't stay in a hostel, so I cannot describe the hostel structures. I apologise for the inconvenience. I would recommend others who have stayed there to give a review. Our college gives hostel facilities and provides good hostels and outdoor space for students. The labs are well-designed and have all the chemicals and accessories that a student needs.
Faculty: The teachers are great, and the environment is good for taking exams. The Science faculty members are awesome, and have botanical gardens for better teaching and getting more information.
Other: My batch is awesome, and the students are friendly.
