Average college life with decent academics.
Placements: Course is MCA and BCA, and the duration is 5 years. Passing out is 2030. Approximately 60-70 percent of students got placed from the course. The recruiting companies are TCS, HCL, IBM, etc. Around 40 - 50 percent of students got internships. Top roles offered are software developer, junior Java developer, web developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The department has well-maintained classrooms with proper seating arrangements, projects, and a good learning environment. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, computer labs, and a library. The hostel facilities include clean rooms, regular water supply, and electricity. The quality of food in the mess is average, with only vegetarian options available. Medical facilities are available on campus or nearby. The college also provides facilities for sports and games, including indoor games and outdoor sports areas.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. Some teachers are very supportive and explain concepts clearly, while a few rely more on theoretical teaching. The course curriculum is relevant and covers core subjects like programming, os, and database. However, to be fully industry-ready, students need to work on projects and internships alongside the syllabus. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 80-90 percent.
Other: I chose course MCA because it provides long-term exposure to the computer applications, programming, and IT fundamentals better placement training, and more practical-based teaching college conducts technical events, workshops, and fests campus crowd is friendly and diverse. Connectivity is good with public transport.

Must join if you are really interested in academics.
Placements: 65-70% of students got placed in our course MCA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Cisco, IBM, TCS, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, and many more. The roles offered are software developer, data analytics, sales and marketing, finance and consulting, and many more. The highest package offered is 10.5 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA - 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. I think around 20-25% of students got internships from MCA and the companies IBM, Infosys, and Deloitte based on my knowledge.
Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure and facilities in our college for all the students and faculty members too. There are classrooms that can accommodate around 60 students in each class. Students are facilitated with the campus Wi-Fi, projectors, and speakers so that it will be audible for all the students who are sitting at the last. As a day scholar, I have not personally experienced the facilities available in the hostel but based on my friend's experience I can say that they have good food, Wi-Fi, and strong security facilities.
Faculty: Coming to academics, I have a good experience as all the teachers here take lectures in a way that will be understood by the students if they listen to me with full concentration and interest. We have a mid-term pattern that makes it easy for us to crack the end exam as we will cover half of the portion for mid-term exam. They are engaging us with placement training so thereby making us industry-ready. The passing percentage depends on the class's overall performance average.
Other: I completed my BCA and with an interest in technical I wanted to continue my knowledge in this field so that I can be in a good company. For this reason I joined MCA for the betterment of this course. I hope they can take us on industrial visits so we can at least get to know how it works in the industry environment. We want more events to be organized by the department so that apart from curricular we will also be able to enjoy extracurricular activities too.

Totally the college is value for money and teachers are more friendly and supportive.
Placements: There are some good placements happening here, and I can confidently say that my experience has been quite positive. When I first joined, I was a little unsure about how effective the placement cell would be; but over time, I realized that the college genuinely puts effort into getting students placed in good companies. We have several reputed companies visiting the campus and the training provided before the interviews is extremely helpful.
Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure for my course and hostel facilities in my college. In terms of student amenities, the college provides hostels, canteens, medical facilities and common rooms. Our hostel rooms are spacious and well kept and there is atmosphere in the hostel.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members here are genuinely good at teaching, especially when I compare them to those colleges in my city. From my personal experience, I have noticed that certain professors really know how to explain complex topics in a simple and relatable way. They just don't stick to the textbook but they try to make the subjects interesting by giving real-life examples, practice insights, and even sharing their own experience.
Other: When compared to the money and the education they are providing makes it is a value for money.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: The mass recruiters hired almost everyone without any backlogs. It seemed they had a tie-up with CTS, which was also a good option. It was a good experience, I had two campus placements, one at Aricent and the other at Nagarro. Many companies visited our campus for placements, a few of them were Aricent, Nagarro, One Nine Seven Communication, Sapient, GlobalLogic, Microsoft, Adobe, MakeMyTrip, etc.
Infrastructure: The mess food was really bad. Non-veg was not allowed inside the college campus. The mess food was vegetarian and also Kerala-type food. It was not spicy at all and not good for Tamil Nadu or Andhra students. The hostel faculty members were good enough, and the environment was very clean.
Faculty: It was the toughest course I had ever attended or heard of. Every mark earned in those three years was hard-earned. There was a lot to learn. Professors set very high benchmarks for the students. Industry-level assignments were part of the course curriculum. Professors did not allow cheating or copying internet assignments. Some professors were very talented, almost all faculty members had completed their Ph.D. A few first-year faculty members had poor communication skills in English. But, I had a few staff members who were very talented in the first year. In the following years, almost all faculty members improved. The course curriculum was relevant, but the structure of the course was not up to date. Faculty members were good and helped us understand concepts, they were well-educated and had doctorate degrees in their fields. But, it was really important to manage time and study hours to excel.

Highly professional and well-maintained college in and around Mysore.
Placements: An average of 50-70% of the students get placed in our course from our senior batch the highest package is 30 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA, the average would be around 3.5 LPA. Recruiting companies for our course are Wipro, Adobe, HP, and Teach Mahindra. Some of the IT companies are Consulting and finance companies like Deloitte, Federal Bank, etc. Up to 80% of the students get internships Roles offered for our course are full sack developed, application developed, UI UX designer, System administration, and Tester.
Infrastructure: They have Wi-Fi on every floor of the building computer labs are maintained very well and every classroom has a blackboard along with projectors. I am a day scholar, and I don't know about hostel facilities but the canteen food is good but costlier. They have separate ladies' rooms where only ladies are allowed so they can rest during medical emergencies.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and only Ph.D. holders or Ph.D. perusing take classes for MCA students. All the teachers work to develop skills in students rather than only marks. The curriculum is built according to the industry's needs. Most of the questions would be scenario-based where they ask application-level questions. The pass percentage will be decided on the class average.

Review of Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Mysuru Campus.
Placements: Our college provides average placements. Top companies don't visit our college to recruit students. They offer good salary packages. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, SAP Labs, etc. Our college provides placement opportunities every year. You can also work at the college as an assistant or as a full-time worker and get less than the minimum wage.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available in our college, but its speed is slow. It is possibly the slowest network among all colleges. It will be difficult for students and faculty members to access online recourses.
Faculty: Our college has a significant number of faculty members. Many faculty members display narcissistic behavior. They have an extreme sense of self-importance. They are excessively preoccupied with their achievements and appearance. This behavior can potentially lead to an unfavorable learning environment for students. They prioritize their interests and agendas over the educational needs of students.
