The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

Annamalai University DDE BA admission confirmed after the admission fee submission. The total tuition fee for the UG programmes is INR 10,350 for the three-year course. Additionally, the total fee can include other fee components as well. Students have to pay the examination fee as well. Annamalai University DDE offers BFA at the undergraduate (UG) level and MA, MBA, MCom, MFA, MSc, and MSW courses at the Postgraduate (PG) level. AUDDE Admission portal will be expected to open on 01 January 2024. Students can apply for UG admission program-level courses if they have a 10+2 degree in the relevant subject from a university that is known to be good. Admission to courses in UG programs is based only on merit. For PG-level courses, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a university that is recognized. To get into the PG Diploma program, students must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least a 50% mark.

Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. 4. Transfer and conduct/ Migration certificate from the previous institution
5. Passport-size photograph
6. Community certificate (for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates)

8. Certificate of extra-curricular activities (if applicable)

Candidates who get admission in Annamalai University Distance Education programmes have to confirm their seat by the course fee. Aspirants also get a confirmation of admission slip with enrolment number. Aspirants can download the slip from the website to check the enrolment number. The first three digits of the enrolment numbers represents the programme code, fourth and fifth digits represents the years of admission.

Candidates after getting admission at Annamalai University DDE can download the soft copy of study material from the university's website. The syllabus and self learning study materials for the programme is supplied during the time of admission. For the second, third and fourth semesters/ years, the self-learning study material is dispatched by CDOE via post on receipt of the tuition fee for respective years. Students should also have paid the fees in full for the
previous years to get the study material.

Annamalai University DDE offers courses at UG, PG, Diploma and certificate levels in distance education mode. The on-campus courses at Annamalai University are duly approved/accredited by apex bodies like NAAC  (Grade A+), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), etc. Some of the popular courses at Annamalai DDE includes MA, BFA and MBA.
