The NEET MDS 2026 exam date has been set as May 2, 2026 (tentatively) for Armed Forces Medical College admission to the MDS course. The registrations for the same are expected to start soon.
Here are some additional updates regarding the Armed Forces Medical College:
- The NEET SS 2025 scorecard can now be downloaded from the official website for admission to the MCh and DM courses.
- The NEET UG 2026 registration has started for admission to MBBS, BDS and other courses. The last date to register is Mar 8, 2026. Also, the NEET UG exam 2026 is going to be held on May 3, 2026.
- NEET PG 2025 counselling result for the stray round has been announced. Reporting for stray round can be done till Feb 28, 2026.

Armed Forces Medical College (AMFC) offers an MBBS lasting five and a half years, including a compulsory rotating internship of one year. AMFC MBBS admission is based on the applicants' NEET (UG) score. Based on the exam scores, applicants are called for a screening process, which comprises a Test of English Language and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune. The college grants admission to candidates based on their overall performance in the entrance exam and all the screening rounds, subject to fulfilment of the below-given eligibility criteria:

The selection will be based on the merit of the candidate at an All India level. A written objective type of examination will be conducted in February/ March every year, at certain selected centres (Published from time to time.) Students who pass the entrance exam will be called for an interview at selected centers in the month of April/May each year. Candidates must be declared medically fit. The fitness will be determined by a Medical Board of Military Medical Officers.

No, you cannot join AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) without NEET. NEET scores are essential for eligibility to join AFMC for MBBS.
