It's a great learning house.
Placements: Around 100% placements in reputed private hospitals of the country like Tata memorial hospital Kolkata, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer institute Rohini new Delhi, and many more. The highest package offered was Rs:20000 per month to the freshers. Internships are taken place in various hospitals of Guwahati including GMCH, base hospital, etc. We were placed as trainee nurses in the hospital.
Infrastructure: It's a great house for learning with all the required amenities. Food is average when it comes to vegetarian food. No canteen inside the hostel premises. Excess to medical and sports activities are adequate. One gets the chance to live in the raw natural habitat of Assam with hills on one side. Watching elephants walk by your hostel premises once in a while.
Faculty: The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is great with adequate field exposure. Exams are tough, especially university exams. The passing percentage is 50%. Learning the local language will be of great help in interacting with the community. Nursing is a course of self-learning and spoon-feeding. The learning environment is very competitive.
Other: The best thing about nursing is taking care of the people in need, one feels satisfied when we see our patients going back home smiling. We don't have a fest but we do have college week and various cultural events.
