Celebrating Student Excellence: GIBS Achievers Shine Across Top Inter-Collegiate Fests
March 2026 was different! It didn’t really feel like a regular academic month for students at GIBS, as they were not just studying. They were actively participating in fests, fundraisers, and solving real-time issues.
And they were making a difference.
The moment you enter a competition, you can see a lot of pressure, competition, and learning in action. Be it management, finance, or something creative, GIBS students were handling it pretty well.

Winning Big at Chakravyuh 2026
Chakravyuh 2026, organised by NSB Bangalore, is one of those fetes where the competition level is high. It was a national-level event, so everyone turned up prepared.
From GIBS, the team consisted of Darpan, Buragadda Praneet, Shriman Joshi (BBA second year), and Shreya Bhardwaj (BBA first year). They took part in the “Best Management Team” event.
It was not easy!
Every round needed quick thinking, coordination, and sometimes instant decisions. There was not much time for overthinking. They simply focused on keeping themselves aligned as a team.
As rounds went by, they gained more confidence. You can say they found their rhythm at the right time. And on March 15, 2026, they won.
It was one of those wins where everything simply clicked.
BUZI BUZZ-26: Keeping It Steady
On the same day, another set of GIBS students participated in a different event, BUZI BUZZ-26, at ISME, Bengaluru. This event was more finance-related and, quite frankly, a little tricky, as it involved real-life scenarios.
Deepanshu, Taniya, and S. Dineshwaran from PGDM participated in the Wealth Quest event and boy, were they consistent!
They did not do anything out of the ordinary, no overconfidence, no under-confidence either, just a steady move towards progress in each event. Sometimes, you just need to do that!
They came in second place and took away a prize of INR 3000.
It’s simple, yet a great accomplishment in terms of execution.
Simple result, but strong execution behind it.
Reel Making: Different Kind of Challenge
Then there was something super interesting, the Reel Making Competition at T. John College on 5th March.
Shreshtha and V. Nivedithaa participated in Reel Making Competition. They had to promote menstrual cups. Not the easiest topic to handle, especially in less time.
They had to research, plan, shoot, and edit, all within a few hours.
Most of their shots were single takes, which saved time. But editing took time and effort. There was pressure, but also fun.
They secured second place.
And what made it better, it was their first fest and their first win.
What Actually Matters?
If you look at these events together, one thing becomes clear.
Classroom learning is one thing. But situations where you have to think, respond, and act, that’s where real learning happens.
You learn how to manage time, understand how teams work, deal with pressure, and top of it, trust your decisions.
These are things that don’t come from theory alone.
The GIBS Side of It
At GIBS, space is provided for that.
Nobody is forced into doing anything. But encouragement is always there! Students try to do it voluntarily and achieve something!
And over time, this builds their confidence.
GIBS Business School in Bangalore continues to excel in combining academics and practical learning. It is a Top Business School in Bangalore. Its basic thought process is very simple - to train students not only for exams but for actual scenarios where they have to get their hands dirty!
