Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management Hosts 160 International Chefs at the 10th edition of World Food Competition

The Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management, under the JIS Group, organized a round of the World Food Competition at the campus located in Panihati, Kolkata. At this time the World Food Competition was happening. 160 international chefs from 40 different countries showcased their gastronomic skills.
The Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management, under the JIS Group, organized a round of the World Food Competition at the campus located in Panihati, Kolkata. At this time the World Food Competition was happening. The food world looks forward to this event every year and people worldwide come to take part. This time, 160 international chefs from 40 different countries showcased their gastronomic skills. The final round, which saw many well-known chefs and personalities, was a show to watch. Sanjeev Kapoor, Kunal Kapur and Dr. Parvinder Singh Bali to name a few. Sardar Simarpreet Singh along with the top brass of the JIS Group were present.
 
During the three day fiesta of culinary arts at the milestone 10th edition of World Food Competition many overseas contestants brought their national dishes to India which was indeed a bright depiction of global flavors. Diverse food display on one stage paved way for deep cultural interaction leading to a phenomenal recreation themed on food, creativity and worldwide chef collaboration. Besides this, contestants could also mingle with the top chefs to gather useful details and tips on world food methods and current food trends. Final rankings of the contest showed that the Chef competition's first spot was taken by Dibyajyoti Saha from India; in second place was Bonolo Lesupi from South Africa and Ni Luh Putu Aditi Satriani from Indonesia was in third place
World Food Competition is a gathering of food lovers who have come together to share their ideas and passion for food. It helps individuals to get familiar with different types of cuisines and techniques. The food competition also strengthens ties between the different cultures through the universal language of food. In just three days, the participants, hailing from different countries, exhibited their dishes.
It was like a banquet that had lots of different tastes. The visitors actually tasted the food and got to know the various cultures too. The contestants had a chance to connect with the chefs to learn from them. They received recommendations on how to prep dishes and what’s trending in the kitchen.
