Average poor placements and infrastructure is also average.
Placements: Only about 10 students were interested in getting a job. They were placed for interviews, and about half of them got placed. The highest package was Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum, and the top recruiting company was Krishna Maruti. The roles offered were for junior engineer trainees.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure and a good library. There are labs for every branch of study. The college only has girls hostels, and the food is not good at all. Sports and tournaments are held at the college. In 2023, our college participated in kabbadi and badminton tournaments. The college provided the kits for the tournaments.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and highly qualified. The teaching quality was excellent, and they provided a lot of support. The college also provided industrial training for 30 days. The semester exams were easy, and the pass percentage was 40 percent for each student.
Other: I chose this course because my uncle, who is shy, told me to do this. I have no choice but to do it. The better thing is that there should be 100 percent placement of each and every student according to their talent. Events and festivals happen only on occasion.

A government college is not up to the mark.
Placements: Not even a single placement company was invited to the campus. There wasn't even a placement cell in the campus. All the students of the batch went for off-campus interviews and then got jobs. No internship was provided by the college. No roles were offered.
Infrastructure: There was no hostel for boys on the campus. There was a hostel for girls. The campus was not very big. There were only 2 labs. Wi-Fi also was not present in the college. There was a canteen in the college, but it was not good. Sports were not promoted in the college.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful in the college. They were Master's degree holders. The course was not relevant to the industry. It didn't make the students ready for industry-level jobs. The semester exams were organized after the semester, and there were mid-semester exams also.

My college life - Career Defining.
Placements: Around 40 percent of students were placed. The highest package was 7 Lacs, average package 4 Lacs, and the lowest was around 3 LPA. The companies that conduct placement drives in our campus are mostly from nearby Chandigarh, and only 3-4 companies visit here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was outstanding. Wi-Fi was available throughout the whole campus, and every student was given a 1GB limit per day. Labs and classrooms were very learning-friendly. The library was good for studying peacefully. The food available in the mess was limited, but medical facilities and sports were also good in college.
Faculty: The teaching in the college was excellent. They were all highly educated, and their teaching quality was superb. They tried to help each and every student in any manner. Yes, the course curriculum does make the students industry-ready and prepares them for placement drives. End-semester exams were of average difficulty, and 40 percent was the pass criteria.
Other: I chose the course because it has a vast scope in the future. I would like to introduce more practical knowledge in the course. Teach Fest was celebrated every year, where all the students could showcase their drills. Scholarships were also available.

Review of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology .
Placements: Many students get placed in companies like Wipro, Tech Mahindra, VT Technology, Scope Telecom, etc. Placements depend on the qualities and knowledge of students. Students are selected according to their performance in college events and semester exams.
Infrastructure: Different lawns are available in our college for students to learn practicals. Classrooms are well maintained. They have projectors to promote e-learning for students. It has a huge library with a great variety of books. Wi-Fi is available for faculty members and students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and well-qualified. They have good teaching experience. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are averagely difficult. Students should maintain more than 75% of attendance to attend exams.
Other: Events and fests are organised in our college.

Review of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: About 7% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 2.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bebo and XenonStack. Almost 30% of students got internships from our college in companies like Bebo, Hoping Minds, Talentelgia, etc. Top roles offered are preparing estimates and budgets, creating accurate project specifications, designing engineering experiments, and creating technical reports for customers.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all facilities like laptops, cameras, printers, projectors, etc. Students can access all these facilities. Wi-Fi is available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Their teaching quality is good. They teach us well.
Other: I opted for this course because it has a very good scope for the future. It is difficult to get admission to the ECE branch.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology can be considered to join.
Placements: Most of the students go for higher studies, as the salary offered is not enough for a diploma. The salary package offered is Rs.10,000–30,000. I don't know much about placements because most of the students go for higher education. About 10-20% of students got placed as web designers or web developers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still under construction, but all the labs are provided. Classrooms are good. The library has Wi-Fi as well. For girls, the hostel provides good food, and all the other facilities are available. A playground is available. The canteen and auditorium are under construction.
Faculty: Teachers are polite, approachable, and pay attention to every student. They are well qualified and make students industry-ready. The curriculum is relevant. Exams are not that difficult unless you study. At least 40 out of 100 are required in every subject to pass.
Other: I chose this course because I like computers and technology. The best thing is that I am now able to make websites on my own. The course duration must be increased. It's 6 months on paper, but in reality, it's 3-4 months of classes, and 2-3 months are for exams, holidays etc. Due to insufficient time, the syllabus is not completed, and the concepts are not clear. Events were planned, but due to Covid, they were not held on a large scale in recent years. The crowd is not much good. surroundings feel like home. Extra-curricular activities are also conducted here.
