Decent college, As a CS student my experience was good.

Placements: Every year about 50% students get placed from CSE department. This year CS students got 7-8 campus opportunities whereas students from other department got only 2-3 campus opportunities. Maximum package offered was 3 lacs per annum. Mostly local companies (Maharashtra region) come for campus drive, no MNC have come for this year.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the thing where BIT lacks because 2-3 departments are in same building only. Apart from this thing Labs, Classroom and Library are pretty good. Canteen provides decent food but they have very less food options to offer. Boys hostel is within college campus whereas girls hostel is in ballarpur city.

Faculty: Teaching Faculty is wonderful, they are very helpful and supportive. Civil department does't have experienced faculty but new faculty put their best effort to teach students. Regular classes is a myth for mechanical and mining department (because of students). .

Other: Total campus crowd is about 2000 students including BE, MBA, MCA and Polytechnic. College is 5 km away from ballarpur city and there is no shops around campus (not even stationary). .

Good placement and faculty but Infrastructure could be better.

Placements: In 2015-16 batch around 20 students got placed from CSE. In 2016-17 batch 13 students got placed from CSE and this year 13 students are placed (CSE) yet including me. For computer Science, we got handful of opportunities (6 companies). For some companies students have to pay the fee to get the training from recruiters before joining. Minimum CTC is 1.7 lacs per annum and maximum CTC is 3 lacs per annum. Students from other branches get bigger packages but they get lesser opportunities than CSE. BIT have a dedicated T&P cell.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent but not so good. There are 5 buildings and every department has dedicated floor in one of the building. There are the latest equipment and computers in laboratories. Classrooms and library is decent. Food quality of canteen is not good. Boys hostel is within the college campus. Wi-Fi facility is in first building and library only.

Faculty: My department is CS and our faculty is great. Almost everyone is having more than 7 years of experience in teaching field. Mostly traditional classroom teaching method is used but sometimes using projectors and video lectures are also arranged. BIT lacks when it comes to industrial exposure, once a year Industrial tour is arranged.

Other: Mostly every department organise Events on their own but in the month of January there is a college fest called AURA where everyone is involved. Extracurricular activities are arranged during 10 days of AURA fest only. College is quite far from main town, so sometime students face difficulties.

Review of ballarpur institute of technology.

Placements: There are 80 students in my classes and only 3 or 2 of them get a job from the college campus the highest package 3 LPA and the problem is that there is no internships offer for student. I think my college should do something on this. I am in 2nd year so I don't have any idea about the companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is really good they have different buildings for different course classroom and labs are okay there is Wi-Fi facilities for student. Hostel facility is also good there boys hostel in college and for girls the hostel is in the city that is really good for girls safety. There is less medical facility but the sports and games department is good. They conduct the different games.

Faculty: I am studying in computer Science so inmy department teacher not supportive at all they just teaches the topic and gave the online notes. Honesty our faculty didn't prepare us for industries they didn't even take us to the lab they didn't give the practical knowledge. If I talk about exams the exams are average not so hard and not so easy and our centre is also strict so they properly conduct the exams there no complain against the exam section.

Other: I have choose computer Science because I am interested in computer and the computer language. The best thing in this course we have to apply a logic for every programme you made that is so cool. My college conduct fest a year that called AURA and it is really good fest they conduct in this fest they have so many things like singing, dancing, revel making and movie making competition and sports there is so many programs they conduct so many students take part in this fest even Students from outside the state also participate in it. Apart of AURA the department conduct a small programme related to their branch that is really good.
