B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2016
4.0
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
The college is good in all aspects.
Placements: As per my experience, there were some campus drives conducted for our batch, and nearly 50-55 students got selected in different companies. From our senior batch, 40-50 students got selected. The placement percentage was approximately 40%. The highest salary package offered was 1.20 million per annum. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month and the average was Rs. 25,000 to 30,000 per month. I don't remember all the companies but some companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Epic Solutions, some vendor companies of Bosch, Awachat Agro Limited, Vainganga Cement Products, etc., visited the campus for placements. The job profile offered to students were mostly in the core sector and involved on-floor and production work. Some software companies like Epic Solutions offered software roles, and some companies offered design engineer roles. As per the students' interest, the college provided internship letters to almost everyone, but after that, mostly 50-60% of the students did internships. The college has a placement and recruitment cell, and it was but partly useful because they never focus on a specific branch; they focus on the whole college.
Infrastructure: The college has a huge campus. All the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs for practicals, library, provision store, huge ground for sports and games, a separate building for indoor games, ambulance, garden, canteen, separate hostels for girls and boys, etc., are available on the campus. Quality of labs and classrooms is quite good. Food available in the canteen is fresh and hygienic. Hostel rooms are good. I have not faced any issues related to infrastructure during my tenure.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Mostly, all the teachers are experienced and seniors, so they are knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was good, and teachers taught on the basis of students' requirements and exam demand. The faculty to student ratio was 1:20. There were some field visits conducted where we got industrial exposure. The course curriculum was useful for us.
Other: There are many events conducted like an annual function named Colors, many technical events like Wheelspin, etc. National and international conferences are conducted, and sports events also take place. The college is connected to both rural and urban areas, and the mode of transportation is easily available. Campus surroundings are good and huge. Scholarship programs are available as per the government rules.

B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2016
3.0
1Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
There are no placements. We have a moderate infrastructure. The faculty are good.
Placements: In placements, we got one company for the technical profile. Only two students got placed with a package of 2.4 LPA. Other two or three company were of non-technical background. Nobody got the internship at our college. There is a T &P department which only gives false hopes of big MNCs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is moderate. Labs are available for every department. Classrooms are normal. The library is quite large. It could find mostly syllabus related books. There is no sports department. There are no medical facilities in our college. The hostel rooms are okay. I never faced any infrastructure issue during the tenure.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are good, but they are newly joined. The senior faculty are bossy and rude. We can't even face some senior lecturers. Teaching is good, and the course curriculum covers most of the syllabus. We got a chance to visit an industry in Mumbai and a tour to Goa.
Other: Not many events are celebrated at our college. Technical fests and a cultural function occur in our college.

B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2016
1.6
1Placements2Infrastructure2Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life1Value for Money
Unsatisfied student of BDCOE, Sewagram.
Placements: This college's placement team doesn't know how to work. In our batch, 20-30% students were placed in the companies that came for campus recruitment. Remaining students were placed through their own references. Many of the students waited for at least 1 year more to get placed. Even though the college promised us to bring MNCs like Tech Mahindra, TCS for recruitment, None of them showed up. The highest package which students grabbed in off campus was 3.5-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The classes are not efficient enough for digital or e-learning. There is one basketball court which is not maintained properly. College doesn't provide Wi-Fi during college hours except in computer lab. College canteen provides lots of tasty snacks which are quite cheap in price. But, the quality of hostel food in not upto the mark as complained by the hostel students. The hostels are very old and has not been renovated from a long period of time. Also, the first year hostel building looks like a haunted house.
Faculty: Hardly 20% of the staff is fully qualified and the rest use very old method of teaching. Most of the faculty focus on theory rather than practical knowledge which is the backbone of Engineering. Also, the innovative and creative students are not appreciated and encouraged by the college. As they use very traditional methods of teaching and the course curriculum is not updated, their is hardly any industry exposure for the students which in turn face consequences during placements.
Other: The campus crowd is very dull.
