I am satisfied with everything at the college.

Placements: There are no placements for honours students. There is an availability of a summer internship program from different high-rated companies, which is an enjoyable and fun program. Every summer, we can also choose the company with which we need to complete our internship program.

Infrastructure: There are no facilities for a hostel. Food is average to very good. We have an auditorium, Wi-Fi, labs, library, etc. Everything is so clean and under CCTV surveillance. We have sports departments. Medical facilities are also excellent.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They really focus on students' intelligence and in-depth knowledge of every topic. The course curriculum is relevant, and it really makes students industry-ready. Basically, semester exams are difficult for those who do not study. 80% of students passed in my batch.

Other: I like English from class 7, and it was my dream to go for English honours, so I chose it. The best thing about this course is that we get to know the language background, and we get to read different types of poems and prose, which are interesting. My course is all good. Everything is good. I'm satisfied with everything.

Bangabasi College: A detailed review.

Placements: There was not any placement support available in our college and since it typically provides non-teaching courses and is government-assisted, for most of the students, it was not a big deal. And almost all of them opt for higher studies anyway, so compared to all the other factors that are provided at the college, it is okay.

Infrastructure: The English Department was quite big and comfortable for students to sit in and although there was not any A.C. available in the rooms, it was good enough for a government college. There is no hostel available, though and the canteen food quality is average at best but quite cheap.

Faculty: The faculty members were very good and all of them had their own unique style of teaching and some of them are quite reputed in their field. The course follows the syllabus of Calcutta University properly, and the semester exams are conducted regularly according to the schedule, from moderate to difficult.

It has a good environment, really great campus and a huge library.

Placements: There are more or less 100 students in our course. After attending the course, you can opt for M.A. from Calcutta University or you can opt for other job related options by yourself. No placements are provided by this college. After you complete this course, you have to look for other opportunities.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are good. The campus is huge, and the environment is really good. There is a common room, games room and medical facilities available. The college is renovated when I got admission here, and the campus is huge. One would love to join such institute.

Faculty: The faculty members in this college are really great. The teachers are really helpful and quite knowledgeable. We also had access to the library which is huge. If we faced any problem regarding our subjects, teachers were always there to help us out. We had three semester exams.

Other: I chose this course because I love literature, and the best thing about this course is that you get to read. We had cultural events as well, and the campus crowd was okay.

College with hopes and dreams.

Placements: Almost most of the students who worked hard got placed in good company. About 60% students got their placement. Many famous companies came in our college to recruit students out of which some were like tata, tcs and more. Internship course was offered to only few students.

Infrastructure: When you look out our college from outside it really impress the viewers. The college infrastructure is designed by some famous engineers. Classrooms are well managed with library looking really cool and calm. Hostel building also look good with its dianing rooms.

Faculty: Our college has so many faculty members. All the teachers here are well educated and experienced. Exam are little tough as there is the system of semester wise. Semester exams are very difficult to pass if you loose out your study. Students had to bring 35%marks for pass.

Other: Those who really want a good college without ragging then they must admit here.

Our college's location is not good.

Placements: Almost 40% of the students in BA English honours got placed. The salary offered in our course is Rs. 4,200 per month. It is under Calcutta University. A maximum number of students got jobs in professional lines such as teachers, college professors and others too. The role offered in our course is to go in the professor department.

Infrastructure: The department is good, but there is no Wi-Fi on the college campus. Classrooms and the library are well-maintained. I never stay in the college hostel. Sports and games and medical facilities are average in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable to give us sufficient knowledge for our studies. The teaching quality is very good so that all students could understand it properly. This course helps students to go to any professional lines for their brighter future.

Other: I like the English subject, so I took English honours. I wish the college to provide learning of grammatical terms, which is helpful for some minor errors.

The college has good environment and helpful teachers.

Placements: I don't know about the placements. I think the college did not provide any placements to the students. I passed out in 2018, then the college didn't offer me any placement. Even I asked the council about it, they didn't respond at all.

Infrastructure: There are no hostel facilities. The campus has a canteen for students to have lunch. I like the canteen. Medical facilities are available there. The college has a common room with many games like carrom, table tennis and many more.

Faculty: The teachers have enough knowledge to teach us. They are highly qualified. They are very knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is very understanding. I'm impressed with their teaching. The course curriculum is relevant, and the teachers give their 100%. The teachers make students industry-ready.

Other: English is my strong point from my school life, so I chose English honors. Doubt clearing classes are also held. Events and campus crowd are amazing. Many fests and social activities are held.

I am satisfied with this college and the facilities available for students.

Placements: I have started studying in this college from 2015 and pass out in 2018. This college offered BA Honours, B.Com Honours, B.Sc Honours, etc. Almost 70% of the students are placed in our course. The maximum salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month which is offered in B.Com Honours for accounting management, etc. BA and B.Sc students get a maximum salary of Rs. 15,000 per month for the junior post. There are many salary packages offered to create life good in the budget.

Infrastructure: Our college is located in Sealdah, and it has a big library where we found thousands of book to read. Classrooms are well-maintained. Wi-Fi is available, but kindly data connection is not available here. There are two labs in which one is in a library to make projects and online works, and another one is located on the second floor of our college to study and exams. Medical facilities are also available for emergency, but sports and games rooms are not that good. Otherwise, all the infrastructure is good.

Faculty: All the teachers here are helpful, friendly with students and great knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good for teachers, but to make students industry-ready with this teaching is not that good, I think. It would be better in future. All rules and regulations are good. We need to restrict society for study.

Other: I have chosen a BA Honours in English for my daily lifestyle, and also I want to be an English teacher to help poor students to speak English.

Bangabasi College (Day), Sealdah.

Placements: We, the 3rd year batch have attended the courses for competitive exams from September,2017 to March,2018 and TCS company has visited us in January and selected 10 students among us for their company with the great salary and facilities. Our college is trying to start more courses and give placements for the students.

Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available with the password. The classrooms of the college is really big, enough space is available. The library is also big and has lots of books and magazines. Every year they arrange sports competition. The labs are not so big but the college is trying to do develop those labs. The fresh foods are available in the canteen.

Faculty: All the professors are very much qualified and helpful too. They try their best to help all the students. Some teachers help the students in the issues like buy books, extra classes after college etc. They are friendly to;one can share his/her problems with the teachers.

Other: Our college arranges a yearly event at Nazrul Mancha, Golpark and also arranges other small events like Nabinboron, Bosonto Utsab etc. For the students. The bus and the train facilities are available. They arrange some consessions like train and fees concession for the students.
