For M.Arch, the selection is based on GATE or Karnataka PGCET scores. The first preference is given to aspirants with a valid GATE score. Besides, aspirants need to pass VRAT conducted VTU for PhD admission.

According to the NIRF report 2025, median package recorded during BArch and MArch placements 2024 was 2.1 LPA and 4 LPA. 3 out 4 students were placed in MArch whereas 70 out of 92 BArch students were placed in 2024.

Candidates need to pass a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses i.e. BArch at BMS School of Architecture. The minimum aggregate required for BArch is 50%. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 are eligible to apply for admission provided they also fulfil the selection requirements.
