My dream college, where I wanted to study.
Placements: Approximately 70–75 percent of students from our college get placement in this course. The highest package we got was INR 4 LPA, and the lowest was INR 2.5 LPA. We have big companies like TATA, Wipro, and Infosys also come here. 50 percent of students are doing internships at Infosys. My role is junior HR.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. Facilities are excellent in all classes. Wi-Fi is also available for work. There are many books in the library for us to read. There is a very good hostel arrangement for those who are studying at our college from far away. Eating and canteen facilities are all very clean. There are many sports and games available. There are also medical facilities for those who are sick.
Faculty: All the professors at the college are qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful to our students. They make us understand any study very well. There is no doubt that this course is definitely relevant to our college. Here, the exam paper is a bit tough. All but 85% of students pass the exam at our college.
Other: I really want to take this course. I think this is the best course, and he can learn a lot in the future. In my eyes, there is nothing to improve here. For me, this course is done perfectly here. The festival is organized for the new students coming to our college. Moreover, the annual festival is also held, and there is a lot to learn. Our college campus is so big. So many students attend class here every day. So, our campus is always very crowded. Our college had many scholarship arrangements. Many extracurricular activities were organized at the college. Many students participated in it and were given prizes.

It is the best government college in this area.
Placements: It is not a professional course, so our college does not have a placement cell. It is an honors degree college.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is available on campus. Hostel rooms are clean and well-maintained. There are two types of hostel facilities with and without food. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostels are fully equipped with cameras and are safe to stay in. Our college provides good facilities and well-maintained laboratories on campus. Classrooms are well-decorated and equipped with digital learning. Our campus is under CCTV surveillance.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very supportive. They have good communication skills. They are well-experienced in teaching.
Other: It gives a very good campus life.

I am satisfied with placements, but the infrastructure of our college could be modified.
Placements: Almost 35-40 students took admission in our college, but among them, 8-10 students passed the course. No student got placed in our college. Some of the students got admission for M.Sc. by giving admission tests. Some of them are preparing for government jobs. Our college provides placements.
Infrastructure: We were not provided with hostels at that time, but a girls' hostel was about to be constructed. The physics laboratory and classrooms are average. There is no Wi-Fi connectivity on our campus. The canteen is not good. The library is good enough. Sports are not up to the mark. Different sports tournaments are held in our college.
Faculty: There are 5-6 teachers in our department. Among them, 2-3 teachers are well-qualified and helpful. During our course, there was no semester exam system, but we had annual exams. Exams are very tough. The pass percentage is very low. Out of 40 students, only 10 students passed the semester exams.
Other: I opted for this course as I am interested in physics. During our course, we had to give our practical examinations in other colleges which were far from our college. If practical examinations are held in our college, it will be very helpful. The college surroundings are fantastic. In front of the college, there is a secret river called Hooghly, and the stand road is very popular.

Our college has the best environment.
Placements: Placement opportunities till now are not more. However, the new placement cell in our college has improved a lot and helped students to get high salary package jobs. Some courses like geography and computer science honors are getting placements now.
Infrastructure: Our college campus is beautiful as it is just beside Chandannagar Strand. Still, the college does not provide Wi-Fi facilities, and only students with access to the computer labs get internet facilities. This college only has a hostel for girls. The canteen has great food at a very low cost.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and all the staff members are very friendly except some people. Overall, they treat students as their own children and try to communicate with them. Students are very friendly here and help each other a lot. These courses are basic honors courses, so they don't make us industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to know the base of computer science. This course does not make students industry-ready, but the knowledge you get will be very useful if you want to pursue higher studies. There are scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, etc. You can also avail Student Credit Card if you need money for doing any course. I am currently planning to do MCA or M.Sc in computer science after this course.

It is one of the best colleges in Hooghly, and it has a really beautiful environment.
Placements: It is one of the best degree colleges in the Hooghly district. About 120 students got placed in my course. One can get placed as a teacher or professor or at any biological farm. I felt blessed to study in this college.
Infrastructure: The facilities of labs and classrooms are great and reminds us about the classical stage of our former India, when Chandernagore has been prospered as an important city. I don't live in the hostel because I am a day scholar. Sports and games are great in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, helpful and give their best to teach us and to help us learn. We get a helpful environment here in our college to learn new things daily. So, if students really work hard, they deserve a job after passing out. Semester exams are held to check our knowledge and intelligence. The pass percentage is over 78%.

There is a good infrastructure, but there are poor faculty members.
Placements: There is not any kind of placements here. It is a government college, and direct placements are still not available here. Private companies don't visit here. I did not remember that any student got selected for internships in any company. However, this course is helpful for government jobs.
Infrastructure: There was a big problem with fresh water. In the yard, there was a water purifier, but it often doesn't work. Free Wi-Fi was not available in our college. Classrooms were huge but dirty, and the windows were broken. There was no generator, but the library was good. But the latest books were not available.
Faculty: Teachers teach us only the syllabus matter. Even often, they didn't complete their syllabus. Some of them were very weak to speak, and even they can't stand properly. However, some teachers were very well and helpful. But as government employees, they are very irregular. So, it was very hard to pass in semester exams. About 15% of the students were passed from our department.
Other: I chose this course because I am an academically very weak student and don't have an interest in the study. However, this course is a little helpful for government exams. So, as a government exam aspirant, I chose this course. If the syllabus is up to date, then this will be very helpful.

Review of Chandernagore College.
Placements: Courses offered in our college are not linked with private company placements. However, few departments like M.A (geography), B.A (French), etc., can have placements. But since this is a degree college, students strive to get top-class education at a minimal course fee and get prepared for IIT M.Sc courses. French, geography, chemistry, political science and environmental science are a few of the renowned departments in our college in the district.
Infrastructure: Our college offers hostel facilities currently for female students only, and the fee is only Rs. 3,100 per month. The hostel provides food and necessities. The departments in our college are equipped with elaborate labs, presentation rooms and an internet facility for a good experience.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is extremely relevant. But some departments may have a shortage of some faculty members. However, professors are always available for students and help them to achieve their goals. The departments always ensure that the practicals are understood by every student and give them the opportunity to do the practicals more than once.

I am highly satisfied with our college, and I thankful to my brother for recommending our college.
Placements: It is a government college, so it does not offer any direct placement opportunities to students. However, it assures students about future job opportunities in many institutions. Companies don't recruit students from our college.
Infrastructure: Our college is pretty much good for students like me who want quality education with well-maintained college infrastructure, courses, etc. It is a very old college, so the campus is not much modern like other colleges. However, Wi-Fi facility, library, departments and labs are all well-maintained. There is a hostel, and it is also good but not the best. The mess serves quite good food. So, the facilities in our college are pretty much good.
Faculty: The chemistry department is amazing here. All the faculty members are very friendly. They even personally clear our doubts after college hours without any fees. Their teaching quality is awesome because all the teachers are very knowledgeable and are doing this job from the past ten years. So, they know how to provide quality education for students. The best faculty members design the course curriculum. I think our college does not offer any direct placements, but students will surely get placements after graduating from this college. Students don't have to put much efforts to get placements.
Other: Basically, there are many other colleges to pursue B.Sc. But I have seen that maximum students have chosen our college only at last. So, obviously, there is something unique feature about this college as others recommend to students. Seniors also tell us that we will get to know many things which we wouldn't find in any other colleges for B.Sc. One of my elder brothers graduated from this college, and he recommended me to choose this college, so I have chosen it to pursue B.Sc. The campus, infrastructure and surroundings all are good except for the college buildings. They are very old, and I wish that our college should rebuild them. I think there are no such things about the course which should be improved. However, overall my experience is quite good here.
