City College Conducted an International Talk Show "New Age Challenges and Opportunities:A Global Perspective"
April 30, 2024: City College Jayanagar, under the leadership of Dr. K R Paramahamsa, Chairman, and Ms. Monica Kalluri, Vice President, organized an international talk show titled "New Age Challenges and Opportunities: A Global Perspective" on April 18, 2024. The event attracted 400-500 participants and featured 10 esteemed speakers from Australia, Sri Lanka, Canada, and India. Mr. Venkatesh from Google, Canada, served as the Keynote speaker alongside Mr. Braj Kishore Gupta as the moderator for the panel discussion.The panel included Priya Darshini Jacob, Nicole Tania McKenzie Lee, Christopher King, Stephen Cooke, Daniela Chierego, Dr. Winston Jacob, Deanne Cooke, and Sally Ann Campbell, all contributing their global insights. Hosting international speakers from many countries has provided a diverse view on today's challenges and prospects.The presence of such a famous panel and moderator enriched the debates, fostering global dialogue and collaboration in education. April 22, 2024: CJ - A Business Talk Show' Industry Conclave was recently convened at City College, Jayanagar. A myriad of professionals and businessmen graced the event, offering their insights. Venu Ganapuram, Senior Scientist of CSIR, emphasised the significance of endurance. "Success is not easy."It is not easily accomplished; it requires effort. Opportunities must be seized," he stated. Surya Prakash Mahopatra, Wipro Global Head highlighted the significance of skill in City College life. "Skill is invaluable; it cannot be pilfered. Without skill development alongside education, learning is futile," he said. Mahopatra further noted the impact of new technologies on employment, stressing the importance of readiness for emerging opportunities. Placements: Before we go into the placements, I strongly advise you not to attend this excellent city college. Furthermore, there is no hope or expectation for placements or internships. I would recommend students to not join this college because there are no placements.
Placements: Placements are not at the rate. But knowing it is better to choose this college. The highest salary pacakge offered is 9 LPA, and the lowest salary pacakge offered is 2.50 LPA. The average salary pacakge offered is around 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Bosch, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, and TCS. Around 80% of students get internships, and the companies are Zoomcar, Swiggy, Zomato, IBM, and Capgemini.

Placements: To be frank there is no proper education system in this college, and talking about placements, in the beginning they give you all sort of dreams about big companies and when it's time to finish your college days it ends up with not even a single placements.

I feel regret for taking admission to this college.
Placements: Only 35 students got placed from our course (BBA). The highest salary package offered by the placement officer was 1.8 LPA. Top companies don't visit our college for our course as our college isn't well established and not very popular. Internships are not provided by our college. Top roles offered in our course are HR managers, financial analysts, marketing and sales managers and administration department jobs.
