Candidates are able to fill the online application form for PGCET 2024 on the official website only. Offline application forms are not released. Candidates with bachelor's degrees are eligible for MBA admission in Karnataka based on PGCET 2024. Karnataka PGCET registration requires the candidates to provide personal, academic, and communication details. Additionally, candidates have to upload documents and pay the application fee. The last date to apply for Karnataka PGCET 2024 will be released along with the Karnataka PGCET information bulletin.

Q:   What is the date to apply for Karnataka PGCET?

A:

If the past year trends are followed, Karnataka PGCET 2024 registration will commence in the month of August. Candidates will be informed about the last date for PGCET 2024 registration along with the publication of information bulletin. The application form for Karnataka PGCET 2024 is available online on the official website. Candidates will have to complete the entire application process online, including uploading of the documents and paying the application fee.

To apply for Karnatka PGCET, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50 per cent (45 per cent for unreserved categories). In addition to the qualifying degree, candidates aspiring for a part-time MBA must have a minimum of three-year of work experience to be eligible for Karnataka PGCET.

Q:   Are other state students eligible for the Karnataka PGCET?

A:
Yes, other state-domiciled students can also apply for the Karnataka PGCET. There are no restrictions on those from other states pursuing a postgraduate degree in Karnataka through the PGCET. Other state students must meet the minimum eligibility requirements, which are graduation with a score of 50%. It is just that Karnataka students have several advantages, such as: 1. Karnataka Category I students can apply with only 45% of their graduation. 2. Around 90 percent of seats in colleges are available for Karnataka state applicants. 3. SC, ST of other state are treated as General category unlike state categories.

Q:   Do GATE-qualified students need to appear for the Karnataka PGCET?

A:
No, if you have qualified for the GATE exam, you do not need to appear in the Karnataka PGCET to take admission in the M.Tech course. The GATE is a national-level exam, and admission to the majority of engineering colleges in India is based on its score. You can apply for admission to M.Tech programs at prestigious engineering colleges like Manipal Institute of Technology, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, and BMS College of Engineering with a valid GATE score. If you have a high GATE score, you can also be admitted to NITK Surathkal. In case you have not scored well, you can still appear in the Karnataka PGCET by choosing the "Non-GATE scorer" option in the PGCET application form.
