CMRCET - Think placements, then think CMR.
Placements: Around 80% of the students from CMR College of Engineering and Technology are placed every year among the eligible candidates. The college has seen around 75+ companies visit the campus, offering around 600+ job offers from all domains and branches. The highest package was 42 LPA last year. There are many companies like Capgemini, Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent and not very luxurious obviously it's a tier 3 college. Mess food is manageable but not something we look forward to every day. Every classroom is equipped with projectors and some classrooms are integrated with smart screens for advanced learning. Overall, campus infrastructure is great and clean.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are in hold of Ph.D. or M.Tech degrees. While some of faculty teach with real examples and clarity, others rely heavily on PPTs and smart screens. Term exams are conducted 2 times every semester with an end semester examination. It also contains lab exams for respective branch students with specializations. The curriculum is fairly standard for a JNTU-affiliated college. Some subjects are outdated but are useful.
Other: Life on campus is fairly balanced, neither good nor bad. Our college consists few clubs like coding groups, entrepreneurship, cultural and sports clubs, etc. College management is in charge of conducting events every semester or year. I chose CSE because I have an unwavering interest in new modern web technologies, and have an aim of joining a top MNC as software developer.

The college is very good in terms of education and faculty teaching.
Placements: Placements in our college are not bad at all. Students with good skills definitely get placed at CMR College of Engineering and Technology. As per my knowledge, last year, around 70% of students got placed, with a CSE student receiving the highest package of 48 LPA. The average package is around 8 LPA, and companies like Capgemini visit our college every year. Therefore, CMR is very good in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is amazing. There are four blocks in our CET campus, with Block 1 completely occupied by first-year students. There are different labs for different subjects. Labs are always in working condition, which helps a lot during practical examinations. Coming to the hostels, the food is okay, and sports are given enough priority. There is a separate CMR hospital, which helps in critical situations and provides first aid.
Faculty: Our college is an autonomous college. Teachers here are very qualified and educated. The quality of teaching differs between teachers, but it is understandable. Faculty is very helpful during examinations. Semester examinations are not very tough compared to JNTUH question papers, but these question papers help students get ready for the future. The pass percentage in the last semester is around 75%, as far as I know.
Other: I personally chose this course based on my interest because I like interacting with computers. As everyone says, AI is the future, and I share the same opinion and try to master it. I am currently in the 4th semester and have already started learning the required basics to excel in AI. Fests and events take place frequently in our college. They provide a friendly atmosphere for everyone. There is also a subject based on CEER, which encourages innovation among students.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with my college.
Placements: A maximum of 9 to 9.5 CGPA was needed. The highest package, according to me, was 24 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. Very small companies were recruiting, and only 20 to 30 percent of students got internships in those small companies. The top roles offered were in AI and ML.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in our college were very poor. The college looked beautiful from the outside, but not really look the same when coming to labs. Only some of labs were good many were not nice, and even fans were not there. The hostel was in the same situation. We paid lakhs for it, but it was the worst.
Faculty: Coming to teaching, some teachers were nice and had knowledge of the subject, but many had no idea what they were teaching. In coming to the curriculum they are teaching many unwanted curriculum like unwanted subjects the pass percentage of the first semester was 50–60 out of 100.
Other: I chose CSE according to my interest in building new technology for this generation.

Teachers are the best-qualified in our college.
Placements: Approximately 62.5 percent of students got placed in the college placements from our course. The highest package was 5.5 LPA, the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average package was 4 LPA. Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Google, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Coulruyt, and Infosys were the top recruiting companies from our course. Approximately 78.6 percent of the students completed their internships at various companies. Higher roles like web development and code development were the top roles.
Infrastructure: Facilities available on the campus were good infrastructure, a bigger lawn, a library, free Wi-Fi around the entire campus, project labs, an auditorium, seminar halls, AC labs, etc. There were three blocks in the hostel for both boys and girls with AC and non-AC facilities. The food was excellent in both the hostel and the canteen. Sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball, and other indoor games were played regularly on the college premises. Medical services were also great, with professional doctors and an ambulance facility.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable in their courses. Their teaching quality was amazing. Our course curriculum was best at making students industry-ready. Mostly, the semester exams were based on application, so understanding the concepts clearly helped. The pass percentage was around 65.
Other: I chose this course because of opportunities it had in the future. Improvements like increasing industrial visits would have been great. Events like cultural activities, festivals, concerts, farewell parties, meetings, and tours were the best entertainment for students.

The best infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: 15 percent of students are placed in my course of ECE. The highest package is 6.75 LPA in my course. The lowest package is between 2.4 LPA and 3 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, and Infosys. 30 to 40 per cent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The best infrastructure is provided in college for both students and faculty. Computer labs are provided, and electrical and communication labs are available. Every classroom has digital boards, and a library session is separately provided. Good quality in the hostel mess. Sports and games can be played in free time. There will be a separate session for sports.
Faculty: The teaching faculty was very helpful in clarifying subject-wise doubts. Well-knowledge faculty and every faculty member has a PhD and a doctorate. Every course provided by the college meets the industry-required knowledge and technology related to industry required. Semester exams are not too difficult.
Other: I chose this course because it has a good scope of features in electrical engineering, like in many government sector services. I need to improve myself more to achieve success in this course. Events and festivals will be conducted every year, and very grandly celebrated.

It cannot be the chosen one.
Placements: There are placements in our college. The highest package in our college up to date is 48 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, and Capgemini visit the college for placements. Approximately 50-60% of students got placed. Internships are also provided in our college with a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is okay. The hostel is very good. Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are arranged in a perfect way. Computer labs used for coding are a little bit lower and not every lab. The food is not worth the fees we pay in hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are very average. Multiple subjects are taught by a single faculty member who does not have any connection. Exams are conducted according to the course curriculum only. The semester exam's difficulty level is rated according to the subject. The paper standard is maintained very well.
Other: Nowadays, there is demand for AI and it is mainly focused on the software industry, so I chose this course. Faculty members should be improved. Fests and events are very limited in our college, and they need to be improved.
