CMR College of Engineering and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have completed diploma in relevant field
M.E./M.Tech	Candidate must have completed B.E./B.Tech. /AMIE in CSE/ CSIT/ Electronics & Computers Engg. /IT & Computer Science and Systems Engineering or equivalent from a UGC recognized University/ Institute. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates over TS PGECET qualified candidates. Candidate must have secured 50% marks in group subjects taken together in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category).
MBA/PGDM	Candidate must have passed Bachelor Degree (BA / B.Com/ B.Sc/ BBA / BBM / BCA / BE / B. Tech / B. Pharmacy / Any 3 or 4 year Degree except Oriental Languages). Examinations of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examinations. Final year appearing students may also apply on provisional basis. The minimum age of the candidates should be 19 years as on the date of notification (Candidates whose date of Birth up to 30th MARCH, 2003). No maximum age limit.

Cybage Khushboo Charitable Trust and CMR College of Engineering & Technology provides 15 scholarships to students pursuing BTech course. Students need to fulfil the below criteria to apply for the scholarship:

• Students must have score 60% marks in Class 10, Class 12 or Diploma final examination
• The total family income should be less than INR 5 Lacs per annum
• Students who got admission or are seeking admission in a government or private institution based on merit and not through selection
