B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028
Offered by CMR College of Engineering and Technology
3.8
Decent college with pretty good placements and infrastructure, but not a lot of events.
Placements: Placements, as everyone knows, have seen a significant decrease in placement percentage as AI is improving. The CMRCET, as far as informed to students like us, has had 80%+ students placed with an average package of 5 LPA, median package of 4 LPA and the highest package being 48 LPA and a few other students getting 10 LPA and 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Coming to infrastructure, classrooms are really clean and neat. The Wi-Fi is a small issue with not a lot of signal on the campus. The library is the best part of the college, if you ask me. You will have everything you need, and even the hostel is pretty decent compared to hostels in other colleges in Hyderabad, and the canteen food is good enough to say the least.
Faculty: Faculty are supportive and helpful, but not all of them. While most of the faculty have knowledge, experience and excellent teaching methods, a few faculty are not that great. The curriculum is the same as that provided by JNTUH, and it is good enough to make students industry-ready. Semester exams and other related exams test the students very well on the subject and are relatively easy if students study well.
Other: I chose this course as I was more interested in how development works and was interested in coding. Best things about the course are that we are taught a coding language every semester, and we also try building a project to learn that language. The problem for me with this course is that we are not taught a lot about how an industry works and what kind of environment we might be working in. There are not a lot of events that happen, nor are sports a big thing here, there is a sports day, an annual day and a few events.

College has a good lifestyle, placement opportunities and supportive faculty.
Placements: Around 70% of students are placed as per senior talks. The highest package offered so far is 45 LPA. The lowest is 3-3.5 LPA. Accenture and Capgemini are the top recruiters in our college. Many students get their internships as they are guided properly in every training session.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure looks pleasant. When we enter the college, the greenery holds our hearts and creates a peaceful environment. Each department has separate blocks. Coming to classes, they are big and wide. The library has a huge collection of books relevant to our studies and personal growth as well. Food available has a fixed timetable, and they are served at high quality. They maintain the hygiene.
Faculty: Every faculty is friendly. They provide us with a lot of information, not only about academics but also about experiences. The curriculum in CMR Engineering College is growing by adding new club which brings confidence and boost them to be ready for the industries. Semester exams are not that tough because we are guided properly by our faculty members, and they explain every single minute thing, and we should also learn by ourselves. 80% is the pass percentage.
Other: CMR Engineering College is a place where all the activities are held in a proper manner, which does not disturb either academics or enjoyment. Events & fests are held twice or thrice a month.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by CMR College of Pharmacy
1.8
Better for time pass, but not for D. Pharm.
Placements: There are no proper placement opportunities provided for D.Pharm students in this college. Most of the students do not get campus placements, and there is no structured placement support system. Internships are mainly self-arranged in a hospital rather than through the college. Due to this students need to depend on their own efforts for career opportunities after graduation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is below average and lacks proper facilities for D. Pharm students. Laboratories are not well-equipped and the library does not have sufficient academic resources. Classrooms are basic and not well-maintained. Hostel facilities are also not satisfactory with poor food quality in the mess and limited hygiene. The college needs improvement in infrastructure and student facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality in this college is not satisfactory as many faculty members lack proper subject knowledge and teaching skills. Students do not receive enough practical or industry-oriented training. The curriculum is relevant, but it is not delivered effectively to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult but students mainly rely on self-study to pass.
Other: Now I'm having an internship in Gandhi Hospital, but our batch is the last for Gandhi Hospital. Gandhi MOU is cancelled, they tied up with CMR Hospital.

CMR review of the college.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is above 50%. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, etc. Above 40 percentage students are selected for the Google internship. Roles like freshers and many others, which I may not know. The highest packages are nearly 40 LPA
Infrastructure: Labs and the library are very nice to take part in the college. The food which is available in the canteen is not so bad, but good. Wi-Fi, which is given to labs are available for use. There are many different indoor and outdoor games, and sports are also available.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, and well-professional teachers are there. Passing the semester is not so difficult, and the pass percentage is above 80%. The course in Data Science is a curriculum relevant for students to make them industry-ready. There is no difficulty in the exams.

CMRTC provide good learning environment, placement opportunities, and a good campus life.
Placements: Around 70-80 students are placed in campus placements. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra. Other companies also visited, like Wipro, Accenture, and HCL. Roles offered include software developer and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at CMRTC is good and well-maintained for students. The classrooms are spacious, clean, with projectors, digital boards, Wi-Fi connectivity, and good staff. The hostel facilities are decent and provide a comfortable environment for students. Medical facilities are available with a first aid kit, and the college also supports sports and games like cricket, badminton, and indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty members at CMRTC are generally helpful and qualified. Most of the respective subject professors have good teaching experience and explain concepts clearly with practical examples. The teaching curriculum is designed according to JNTUH. The semester exams are moderately difficult if students attend classes regularly and prepare well, and contribute final marks of around 80-90% percentage.
Other: I am currently pursuing B.Tech 2nd year in Data Science, and I belong to the 2024-2028 batch. I chose it because I am interested in programming, software development, and modern tech. However, the course could be improved by providing more industry training internships and hands-on practical sessions to be industry-ready.

I'm gonna say that, good for studies, not good for placements.
Placements: Here, about the placements, they are in a range between Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 35,000 per month, which is the highest ever in this college. In my opinion, it is not good on placements but actually good for higher studies and more. I got placed, but I'm not that excited about that.
Infrastructure: About the course, well, I am currently pursuing it as an AIML student. The infrastructure in my department is worse, and the Wi-Fi lags on the internet frequently. However, the library is excellent for studies, and overall, everything in the college is fine. The infrastructure in the classrooms is difficult to use.
Faculty: Well, about the faculty in our college, they are good at pointing out the students' behavior, not just studying, and they try to explain things perfectly, mainly on core subjects. You will get 100% placement in this college for sure, but they need to communicate with the students and understand their problems.
Other: I chose the AIML course because it is the foundation of the latest AI sources in our life. Eventually, AI has become a personal assistant for everyone, and I am very interested in developing an AI that meets every standard need of human life. About the fest, it is usually a little bit better when compared to other colleges around.

This college is good, and course is also good.
Placements: There are about 600 members placed in this course. The highest package is 20 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA for the CSE course. Capgemini is tied up with the college. Every year, a drive happens. Fifty percent of them get internships in this course. T-Hub offers roles as normal employees.
Infrastructure: The first-year facilities are good, and some are not. About the infrastructure, it is good compared to other colleges available for the course. Wi-Fi is okay. Labs are good and well maintained. Classrooms are also good. The library is fine to study in a quiet place. We can study peacefully.
Faculty: Some are helpful and some are not. Some are qualified and some are knowledgeable. It is a little not helpful for students to learn new languages from some teachers too. It is a little hard, but the teaching is good. The course curriculum is good. It does not make the students industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because I did not have an option. This course was in hype at the time of my admission, and the course is good. We can learn many things from B. Tech life, and there is a lot to learn from this B.Tech. Teachers provide industry-level study for students, which improves them. The events are good, the scholarship is good, and extracurricular activities are okay. The thing they need to improve is some teachers.

CMR for The Best Placements and Better Future.
Placements: Nearly 30% of students were placed in our course. The highest package is around 44 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Cognizant and Capgemini. Nearly 50% of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are very good, with touch screens for faculty to explain easily. The teacher is very forward in our college. There are separate labs for separate branches. The quality of the hostel and canteen is better, and they provide medical facilities to the students.
Faculty: The faculty are very friendly, and they are very well-studied. They are all qualified in M.Tech, and their teaching quality is very good for the students. They make the students ready for the course. There are not many difficult exams in the semester exams. The pass percentage is around 70%.
Other: I have chosen this course for AIML, and the best thing is AI. There are many events performed in the months of March and April. And there is a separate block for the sports.
