General Purpose (GP) Rating

The age limit for Students is 17.5 years minimum; maximum is noted.

The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to "Scheduled Caste" (SC) / "Scheduled Tribe" (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer of "Other Backward Classes' (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 years.
The maximum age limit for women candidates of each Category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.

Medical standard:

- Candidates must be medically fit including eyesight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended and Vision is Maximum (+/-) 2.5 with no color blindness

- Minimum height should be 157 centimeters.

Eligibility:

Category 2:

Candidates must have 2-Year ITI Course from Government approved institute with Minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year and Minimum 40% marks in english in10th standard.

Category 3:

Candidates must have Diploma or Degree from recognized institutions completing10th standard with 40% aggregate (Science, Mathematics) and  Minimum 40% marks in english in 10th standard with Recognition of State/Central Government or AICTE approved
