An amazing campus with decent placements.
Placements: Around 90 out of 120 students got placed this year. The highest package is 20 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA. TCS, Qspiders, and Infosys are some of the top recruiting companies. 10% of students got internships in companies like Confident Group, etc. Software developer, full-stack developer, and software tester roles are usually offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the building. Labs are above average in comparison to other colleges. Classrooms are very tidy. Smartboards are available in each class. The library is very huge with a variety of books. Hostel food is pretty bad. Rooms are pretty mediocre.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive. They complete their portions on time and help students if they have doubts. The course curriculum is irrelevant as it is still stuck on the old syllabus which is a big drawback. Odd semester exams are very tough while even semesters are comparatively easy. 33 is approximately the pass percentage.

Review of College of Engineering, Karunagappally of 2023-27 batch.
Placements: In most of the colleges, campus placement begins in the 3rd year, but in our college, there is placement training from the orientation of the first year onwards. Our college trains the students on how to attend the placement interview, how it is done, and the things that must be done during the sessions, etc., and also provides practice tests for attending the exams during placement. And about 80–85% of students got placed and got paid internships. Even first-year students are getting the chance for an internship with a stipend. Mostly CS students are getting placed. The placement cell of our college is very active and is very supportive to students.
Infrastructure: college has well-designed buildings for each department. There are four academic blocks for different departments. And there are very good lab facilities for each subject. There are about 3-4 computer labs. Classrooms are very clean and all are smart classrooms. The college is situated on acres, so there is much space for everything. There are separate facilities for sports and entertainments like football court, volleyball court, badminton court, cricket area, etc. There are hostel facilities for students .boys hostel is just opposite to the college and ladies hostel is about 300 m away from the college. The college and hostel offer wifi 24 hours a day. Mess food is average. There is well-equipped canteen in our college beside main block. There is well-equipped library facility, which is very useful. Every student is provided with 3 library cards, which is used to take 3 books at a time. And mostly your teachers are very supportive and educational.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and supportive who encourages the students to work hard. They treat students very well and provides remedial classes for the students who is weak in studies. There is two internal exams and there is at least one test week and conducts retest for the students who score low marks to improve their studies. The college make students to face any problems in the industry.

An average all-rounder college.
Placements: Placements at our college present a mixed bag of opportunities. While it's not the strongest aspect, efforts are being made to connect students with potential employers. For my seniors batches, roughly 60-70% secured placements, with the majority being in the IT sector through companies like TCS, Infosys, and so on. Core engineering placements are less frequent but do occur occasionally. The highest salary package offered this year touched 6 LPA for a niche role, while the average generally hovers around 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at College of Engineering Karunagappally provides the necessary facilities for academic learning, though there is room for modernization. Classrooms are of an adequate size and ventilated. The labs in my department are equipped with essential apparatus.
Faculty: Faculty members at College of Engineering Karunagappally consist of a blend of experienced and younger professors. Many faculty members possess strong theoretical knowledge in their respective fields. They are generally supportive of students seeking academic assistance.
Other: I chose this course at College of Engineering Karunagappally primarily due to the fact that it's affordability as a government institution. The relatively lower tuition fees are a significant advantage. The best aspects of the college include the dedicated faculty members and the accessibility of education.

Satisfied with the college. Has to work more on placements, better facilities etc.
Placements: Placements are available, and the companies coming for recruitment are also good. But the thing is, these placements will not be enough for someone who is skilled. It's okay if you are new in the field and such. For someone who has worked hard to polish their skills, our college placement may not be the best option.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure and classrooms are okay. I won't say it is the best, but it's okay. All facilities are provided. But the hostel is not very good at this moment. I hope they will fix it soon. Computer labs are all good. Wi-Fi is available. The library is also good.
Faculty: I would say that they are the best. Faculty members and their teaching are good. They are supportive of whatever activities we would like to conduct. And the course curriculum is good and deep but lacks modernization. It doesn't teach work-related skills. Exams are good. Overall it is good. And over time, it will be the best, I guess.
Other: B.Tech is basically a pressure cooker. So no matter where we study, that will be present there. Choosing the institution depends on the fellows. For me, I chose this institution because it was good, and the teaching is okay. And I just want to learn what B.Tech is and how the whole B.Tech situation is here. It is not that bad. But needs some improvements.

College, my world, which is a dream come true moment.
Placements: Almost fifty percent of the students are getting placed in Computer Science and Engineering. The package offered is $25,000. Top companies where we are getting placed are Apollo and Space. Almost all students got internships in Computer Science and Engineering from many high-level colleges.
Infrastructure: Labs are available with sufficient, working high-quality computers. Classrooms are well-cleaned and have sufficient space. The library is well-arranged. The facilities in the hostel are average, and the mess food quality is also average. Sports and games are there for the interaction of students.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and teach at a high standard. The semester exams are somewhat easy but not too difficult. The passing mark is 40 out of 100 and 75 out of 150. The syllabus included is relevant, and there is only a small part to study. The course is very relevant for the students.
Other: I chose this course because it has scope in the future, and the world of computers never ends. Arts, sports events are conducted in our college, and there is scope for extracurricular activities. Our surroundings are well-cleaned, nature-friendly, and green.

Honest review of College of Engineering Karunagapally.
Placements: College of Engineering Karunagapally offers various courses. It is affiliated with Kerala Technical University. It provides the syllabus and curriculum. The college is managed by IHRD. It makes a great option for better placements and stuff. To my knowledge, last year almost more than 50% of students got placed in companies like TCS.
Infrastructure: Our college offers decent infrastructure with smart classrooms, various labs with up-to-date equipment, and a library with good academic resources. The boys' hostel of College of Engineering Karunagapally is just average. Although it can be improved in many ways.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are well-qualified and well-experienced. They are extremely friendly and helpful when it comes to academics and events. Most of the professors are supportive and knowledgeable. For the curriculum, our college follows the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) syllabus which was updated recently. In my opinion, the course is more relevant after the 2024 scheme.
Other: I chose B.Tech in computer science because I believe it's a hybrid course which is like an allrounder so you can convert the foundation from it into any other field in the future when you decide your path. Events in the college are lowkey. They are rare since it's not conducted by the college management. Students conduct events, so the budget is low.
