Yes, if candidates are planning to get admission into an MCA course at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. They are required to appear and score well in the KMAT entrance exam. However, not only KMAT scores are compulsory for admission to the MCA at DSCE. The college accepts the scores of other entrance examination too, i.e., PGCET. Hence, candidates with valid scores in any of the entrance exams can get admission into MCA courses.

DSCE's MCA programme evaluates candidates through recognised entrance exams like KMAT/ PGCET. The basic eligibility criteria required by the college to get admission into an MCA course is candidates must complete their graduation/ bachelor's degree (with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST/other reserved categories) across all degree examinations, with specific focus on optional/ electives like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Computer Programming, Computer Application, Business Mathematics, or Business Statistics) with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Once candidates complete the basic eligibility, then the department of college evaluates the students based on their secured entrance examination scores. Then, the college prepares a merit list of selected candidates.
