How many students qualified for GATE exam: IIT Guwahati will release the statistics for number of students registered and qualified for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2026). The GATE result 2026 will be announced on March 19 on its official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Read below to check how many candidates have qualified GATE, so that one can make strategic attempts and opt for paper with less competion or cutoff.
How many students qualified in GATE 2026: IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. The branch-wise exam dates have been released, and the GATE admit card 2026 is now available for download. After the announcement of result, the authorities will release the cutoff along with number of candidates registered and appeared in GATE 2026.

As per the official notification, GATE 2026 result will be declared on March 19. Students will be able to check their result at GATE login using their enrollment ID and password.
JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 for BTech course ranged from 126 to 5733 for students in the General AI category, so therefore a student should attain a rank of 5733 or preferably lower to increase their chances of admission to IIT Delhi. Please note that BTech cutoff 2025 will vary according to different rounds, courses, specialisations and categories. NIT Durgapur admissions are based on national-level entrance exam score for most of the courses. The challenging part is qualifying the entrance exam. Candidates need JEE Main rank for BTech, GATE for M.Tech and IIT JAM for MSc admission. CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT scores are accepted for MBA admission. Aspirants must prepare well for the entrance exam to get admission in NIT Durgapur courses. BTech is one of the popular programme of NIT Durgapur. Looking at the past year cutoffs, a rank under 9,000 can get the candidates the specialisation of their choice.
For IIT Delhi M.Des admission, candidates must have passed BE/ BTech/ BDes/ BArch or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates are also required to appear for the CEED entrance test.

Over past five years (2020-2024), GATE has experienced fluctuations in candidate registrations, exam attendance and qualifications. Number of GATE test papers has also increased. GATE two-paper combination was also included, offering more options to candidates.

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation.
