How many students qualified for GATE exam: IIT Guwahati released the statistics for number of students registered and qualified for GATE 2026 along with branch-wise cutoff marks.The GATE result 2026 was announced on March 19 on its official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The GATE topper's list and cutoff was released on March 28. How many students qualified in GATE 2026: IIT Guwahati has finally released topper's list and branch-wise GATE cutoff marks on its official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. This year, the total of GATE 2026 registrations has increased compared to last year. However, the number of applicants appeared in the GATE exam remains almost the same. IIT Guwahati released GATE result 2026 on March 19, scorecard on March 27, and cutoff and GATE 2026 topper's list on March 28. The exam was held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. Candidates who have secured equal to or more than GATE cutoff 2026 will be eligible for counselling at COAP or CCMT.

Over past five years (2020-2024), GATE has experienced fluctuations in candidate registrations, exam attendance and qualifications. Number of GATE test papers has also increased. GATE two-paper combination was also included, offering more options to candidates.
