What is COMEDK UGET?
The undergraduate engineering test (UGET) is held for engineering admission to private colleges in Karnataka. The exam is held for 3 hours and has 180 questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. Admission to more than 20,000 seats is done through the COMEDK exam. 150 engineering institutes accept COMEDK UGET scores for admission.

When two or more students secure equal marks then tie-breaking rule is used. In the COMEDK tie-breaking rule are:
- Priority is given to the student with a higher percentile in Physics and Mathematics
- Second preference is given to the student with a higher percentile in Mathematics
- Even if the tie exists, a student with a higher percentile in Chemistry is preferred.
- Finally, the preference will be given to the age. The older candidate will be the priority.
The COMEDK UGET 2026 exam format has been announced by the conducting body. The exam will be held in online mode for 3 hours in online mode. Candidates will have to mark the correct answers on their computer systems.
There are 3 sections in the COMEDK UGET exam- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section has 60 questions and is worth 60 marks. This makes the total marks for COMEDK 180.
COMEDK 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions to appear for the COMEDK UGET 2026. The COMEDK UGET eligibility criteria consist of educational qualifications and citizenship. You can check the eligibility criteria below in detail.
- Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible. However, the OCI and PIO cardholders must obtain an eligibility certificate from the affiliating university (i.e.Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi).
- Students must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject in second PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination recognised by the State / Central Government.
- General Merit candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks ( 40% for SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka state) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and passed these subjects individually.
- Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science, or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted.
COMEDK Application Form 2026
The COMEDK 2026 application form was released on February 3, 2026. Candidates have to create their COMEDK login by providing basic information to be able to fill out the COMEDK application form. The registration process includes providing basic details, entering educational details, uploading the documents and payment of the application fee. Applicants must submit the completed COMEDK UGET application form before the deadline. The authorities have extended the COMEDK registration 2026 from March 23, 2026. Candidates can submit the application forms by noon. The COMEDK application fee for PCM is Rs 1950 + convenience charges, and to apply for both COMEDK AND UNI-GAUGE-E, students have to pay Rs 3200 + convenience charges.

COMEDK 2026 Admit Card
The Consortium will issue the COMEDK admit card 2026 to all the registered students on April 29, 2026. Candidates must download the COMEDK admit card to know their shift timings and exam centres for the exam. The COMEDK 2026 admit card download link will be available on the website, comedk.org. Applicants have to use their login credentials to download the same. It is mandatory to carry the COMEDK hall ticket 2026 while appearing for the exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without a valid COMEDK 2026 admit card and ID proof.
COMEDK Answer Key 2026
The authority will release the COMEDK 2026 answer key a few days after the exam. First, the provisional COMEDK answer key will be released, followed by the final key. Candidates will be able to object to the COMEDK UGET provisional answer key within a limited period. The authority will consider the objections received to prepare the final answer key. The final COMEDK answer key 2026 will be released a few days later and will be used for preparing the results.
COMEDK 2026 Result
The authority will declare the COMEDK UGET result online on the website, comedk.org. To check the result, students have to provide the login credentials. The COMEDK result will consist of rank and the overall score obtained by the students. The qualifying students have to participate in the counselling for the admission process.
COMEDK UGET Counselling
Qualified candidates will have to appear for the counselling process to take admission to the COMEDK participating institutes. Only qualified candidates will be offered admission based on their merit in the exam. As part of the COMEDK UGET 2026 counselling, candidates have to register, fill in their choices, undergo seat allotment, verification of documents, report to the allotted institutes and finally, pay the fee. The authority will announce the counselling schedule separately. Moreover, the cutoffs for each institute and course will be announced after each round of allotment. The COMEDK seat allotment results will be announced in several rounds.
